The Project Study On Group Work To Improve Social Interaction Barrier Of Elderly Of Living Alone In The City

With the acceleration of the aging process in China,the problem of the elderly has become increasingly prominent.Although the government has formulated a series of policies and related security systems,there are still a considerable number of elderly people in trouble.Due to the long-term lonely life,lack of emotional support and interpersonal communication,the elderly living alone in cities gradually have various psychological and behavioral problems,which lead to social barriers,and it is difficult or even impossible to have normal interpersonal communication with people in daily life.There is a lack of research on social work intervention in the social disorders of the elderly living alone.In the project of community service socialization in LouFeng Street,Suzhou,which I participated in,community X,as an old community with the elderly as the main body,has always been the focus of attention on the elderly service problem,among which the social barriers of the elderly group living alone need to be solved urgently.The survey found that the social barriers of the elderly living alone in X community are manifested in three aspects:cognitive,emotional and emotional,and communicative behavior.Besides long-term solitude,they lack normal social life.The main causes are solidified personality,aging mentality and deterioration of social ability of the elderly living alone.In this regard,the project selected eight elderly living alone in the community to form a group,with the help of group work methods to help them overcome social barriers,improve social status,and improve the actual social ability.Later evaluation of the project process and results showed that the elderly living alone had significant improvement in social psychology,daily behavior,interpersonal relationship and community participation.Finally,the whole project process is rethought,and three problems are found:inaccurate evaluation,single intervention method,imprecise project design and overall planning.Corresponding improvement suggestions are put forward:refinement and accurate evaluation criteria,concurrent and long-term investment of various social work methods,and strengthening the management and supervision mechanism of the project.
