The transformation of thought from classics to metaphysics between Han and Wei dynasties is undoubtedly a major problem in the history of thought.As a thinker who plays a connecting role in the transitional period,the role of Xu Gan’s thought and Zhonglun should be paid attention to.In addition to the traditional Confucian teachings,Xu Gan was particularly influenced by Lao Tzu’s thoughts of "Inaction" and "anonymity" and Xunzi’s thoughts of "correcting name","evil nature".He was influenced by the cumbersome style of scholarly research in the exegesis of classics,the hypocritical and flashy scholar’s style of seeking fame and profit,and the style of talking about whether right or made a fierce criticism of the party’s style of friendship;Zhonglun made new theoretical breakthroughs in name,reality,talent and essence on the basis of the full discussion of social problems by Wang Fu,Cui Shi,Xun Yue and Zhong Changtong.Therefore,the relationship between "fame and reality" proposed by Confucius should not be "unnamed" and "reality".Only for the sake of "fame and reality",but for the sake of "fame and reality",can we realize that the relationship between "fame and reality" proposed by Confucius should not be "unnamed" and "reality".Xu Gan believes that the nature of all people,including saints,is a mixture of good and evil.The difference between saints and ordinary people lies in their intelligence rather than virtue.Therefore,in the relationship between intelligence and virtue,we should put "Mingzhe" first,and intelligence is more important than virtue.Xu Gan paid special attention to the relationship between the essence and the phenomenon.He pointed out that the essence of the avenue is mellow,simple and easy.At the same time,it also has various characteristics such as benevolence,Hui,Ming,wisdom,power,righteousness,prestige and martial arts.Therefore,"its name has no name",and the understanding of the avenue gradually tends to "wu";In the field of physical personnel,Xu Gan opposed the traditional worship of the original and restrain the end,but emphasized the worship of the original and the phenomenon at the same time,highlighting the role of Confucian rites and six arts.Although Xu Gan was deeply influenced by Lao Tzu’s thought and advocated "Inaction" and "anonymity",he still wanted to save the famous religion rather than break it.
