A Study On The Narrative Structure Of Er Shi Lu

Er Shi Lu,written by Yue Jun in the Qing Dynasty,is a collection of classical Chinese novels with the theme of gods and monsters.It has unique value in the narrative structure of novels,regardless of the unique narrative mode it embodies,or in the time and space narrative techniques displayed,from different aspects to convey to us the traditional Chinese cultural thinking.The book also reflects the author’s life experience to a certain extent,which makes the narration of the novel full of emotional factors.In addition,the features of the narrative structure in the plot and theme of Er Shi Lu have exerted a certain influence on the narrative and culture of the later novels with the theme of Supernatural Beings.In the introduction part,the author mainly explains the reason of the topic selection,sorts out the research results of Er Shi Lu in the aspects of ideological purport,artistic achievement and author’s life equality,and defines the concept of“Narrative structure”,which is suitable for the research of this paper,the author holds that there is still a great research space in the narrative mode,time narrative,space narrative and the influence of narrative structure.The first chapter studies the characteristics of the narrative mode in Er Shi Lu.This paper mainly investigates the reference of the Narrative Works of documentary style in the opening and closing modes of Er Shi Lu.This paper analyzes the connection mode between the narrative segments,which takes the “The method of reuniting couples”and “Grass snake Grey line method”as the concrete manifestation,and the narrative consciousness shown by them.This paper explores the looping love narrative in Er Shi Lu,which is based on the mode of“Strangeness-Encounter-Separation”,and explores Yue Jun’s love view hidden in this narrative structure.The second chapter mainly discusses the time narrative features of Er Shi Lu.On the one hand,from the three dimensions of narration,pre-narration and time-illusion Narration,this paper studies the textual features of Er Shi Lu under the condition of time dislocation,which embodies the narrative function of the narrative technique of wrong time in Er Shi Lu,on the other hand,taking the stories in the two special time categories of night and festival as the research object,this paper probes into the characteristics of the activities of the ghosts in the night time and the behavior patterns of the characters in the traditional festival period in the text,this paper analyzes the expansion of the connotation of the text and the enhancement of the narrative effect of the night narration and the festival narration.The third chapter is the study of the space narrative of Er Shi Lu.Through the analysis of realistic space and surrealistic space in Er Shi Lu,as well as the study of the flexibility of text space conversion,the connotation and characteristics of narrative space scenes are explored from the aesthetic point of view,this paper investigates the effect of space narrative on the artistic conception of the text and the role of the characters in Er Shi Lu,from the angle of reality,this paper discusses the allusions of reality and surrealistic space to the social reality and the expression of his political ideas.The fourth chapter discusses the influence of Er Shi Lu on the later literature from the aspects of plot structure and theme structure.This paper analyzes the inspiration of the plot structure of“Human-material interaction”in Er Shi Lu to the transformation of characters in the late Qing Dynasty literary work“Night rain and autumn Lantern Record”,as well as the“Turn of Fortune”-type theme structure in the text of the specific presentation and the Korean Peninsula Folk“Fox bead”in the ideological theme of the story.
