Degree complements have always been the key and difficult points in teaching.The degree complement,which is widely used in modern Chinese,is a syntactic component that foreign students should master in the intermediate and advanced stage.In addition,there are no components corresponding to Chinese degree complements in English.American students whose mother tongue is English are more difficult to learn and are prone to errors.On the basis of previous studies,this thesis mainly based on the corpus of the questionnaire survey,supplemented by the corpus data,collects the types of errors in the strong degree expression of American students using degree complements,analyzes the causes of the errors,and finally puts forward the corresponding teaching countermeasures in order to promote the teaching of degree adverbs and degree complements.To help American students master the relevant knowledge of degree adverbs and degree complements better.This paper mainly includes five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly introduces the reason of this topic,the significance,research review,research methods and corpus sources of the research;The second chapter makes a multidimensional study of the degree complements from three plane perspectives;The third chapter makes a questionnaire survey on the use of degree adverbs and degree complements by American students,and analyzes the survey results;The fourth chapter summarizes the types of errors based on the data obtained from the questionnaire and the Corpus,there are four types of errors are concluded: namely,misrepresentation,addition,omission and wrong order,the most common types of errors are omission,followed by substitution and addition errors,then,according to the types of errors to analyze the causes of errors,there are mainly negative transfer of mother tongue,negative transfer of knowledge of target language,the influence of learning strategies and communication strategies,and the influence of learning environment.The fifth chapter mainly from the teacher,the teaching material,the overseas student these three dimensions proposed the related teaching countermeasure,and designed the concrete teaching case,given the teaching design with pertinence.Finally for the conclusion,put forward the innovation and the insufficiency of this thesis.
