| Verbs are the core components of sentences, the study of verbs has always been an important issue in Chinese grammar research, and the semantic-grammatical study of verbs from a spatial perspective according to displacement function has been a focus of attention in linguistics. This paper takes verbs with realistic spatial properties as the object of study.Based on the existing research,we mainly use the relevant theories of cognitive linguistics to identify the spatial nature and spatial features of verbs, describe and explain the syntactic semantic pragmatic functions of conventional/unconventional spatial features of realistic spatial verbs, aim to seek the classification system of spatial perspective of verbs, and explore the constraints of the realistic spatial properties of verbs and other components. The aim is to find a classification system for the spatial perspective of verbs, and to investigate the deeper reasons for the constraint relationship between the realistic spatial properties of verbs and other components. The text consists of five chapters:introduction, body, conclusion. The introduction part mainly introduces the current research situation on verb space, the research direction and significance of this paper, the research methods and theories used, and the sources of the corpus. In the first chapter,we clarified that the spatial properties of verbs include two parts:spatial nature and spatial features, and derive a classification system for the spatial nature of verbs. The spatial features of action acts are found to be different from those of verbs. The method of using spatial markers to analyze the spatial features of real-space verbs was determined. The conventional and unconventional spatial features of real space verbs are distinguished and defined. In Chapter 2,we identified three formats for examining the conventional spatial features of real-space verbs:Type A"V+在+NP[处所]",Type B"在+NP[处所]+V",and Type C"V+到+NP[处所2]",the classification system of conventional spatial features of real-space verbs is obtained through the examination. In Chapter 3,we examined the relationship between the conventional spatial features of real-space verbs and other components, and concludes that when verbs have conventional spatial features, they influence the amount of time, the amount of degree, the predicative joint structure, the"verb+verb"type continuous predicate structure and the intra-sentence focus information. The reason is due to the constraints of objective reality,cognitive-linguistic viewpoint concept, cognitive frame concept, etc. In Chapter 4,we examined the relationship between the unconventional spatial features of real-space verbs and other components, and concludes that when verbs have unconventional spatial features, they have an influence on the semantics of the verb itself and the choice of object, complement, and temporal adverbial components in the sentence. The reason is due to the constraints of human memory rules, the concept of cognitive salience, and the theory of new markedness. |
