Social evaluation often occurs in the interaction between individuals and others. In this process,it is easy to ignore the important role that language plays.Bilingualism studies have shown that some psychological effects go hand in hand with different languages, especially when comparing native and foreign languages,Some researchers believe that the difference between the two is mainly focused on emotional perception. At the same time,Emotion As Social Information(EASI)emphasizes the role of emotional expression and experience in social interaction and decision-making.Therefore,it is an urgent problem to explore the impact of emotional perception in different languages on social interaction and individual decision-making.In this study,an “Initial judgement-Partner feedback-Re-judgement” paradigm was employed in Experiment 1 and 2.In order to explore the effect of different language emotional evaluation on individual adaptation behavior, participants were presented with Chinese or English emotional words after making judgment in random point motion task. The results show that(1)there are significant differences between positive feedback and negative feedback on individual adaptation behavior;(2)Native language negative feedback is more likely to induce individuals to change their previous judgment and show adaptive behavior than foreign language negative feedback;(3)dividual adaptation behavior is regulated by task difficulty. The purpose of experiment 3 was explored the neural mechanism of social evaluation in different languages.Previous studies used computer feedback to present in emotional words in a way that was largely detached from the social utility of language. In order to reveal the neural mechanism of receiving different languages in such a real interaction situation, experiment 3 created a social interaction situation and presented more targeted evaluation statements based on task performance. The results showed that in the more realistic interaction situation, the adaptation behavior of participants receiving different negative comments showed an opposite pattern to that of experiments 1 and 2.The behavioral results showed that English negative evaluation made the subjects more likely to accept the partner advice;f MRI results showed that the activity of the left amygdala was stronger, and the connection between the left amygdala and the p MFC,which is involved in social interaction, and the right anterior cingulate gyrus, which is responsible for conflict monitoring, was enhanced. In conclusion, compared with experiments 1 and 2,in experiment 3,on the one hand, faced with constant criticism, native language strengthened negative emotional experience, which may lead to the subjects resistance and thus refused to accept their partner advice. On the other hand,in experiment 3,the non-proficient bilinguals processed the foreign language more at the semantic level, and therefore regarded the negative evaluation of partner as objective evaluation, thus changing their own judgment. The results show that social evaluation in different languages has different effects on individual adaptation behavior, which depends on the decision-making situation, the degree of interaction, and the personal degree of evaluation language emotion perception.
