A Study Of Subsistence Economy In The Late And Terminal Neolithic Age Of Jianghuai

The study of subsistence economy is an important way to understand ancient society by restoring the production and lifestyle of the ancients.Jianghuai region is located in the transition zone of north and south climate in China.It is also an important cultural exchange and collision area.The research on the subsistence economy in this region will help us to understand the special geographical location and complex cultural attributes of transition zone.This thesis systematically combs the materials related to the subsistence economy in Jianghuai area from the late Neolithic Age to the terminal Neolithic Age,especially the newly published research results in recent years,and comprehensively analyzes the unearthed animal and plant remains,production tools,environmental archaeology and other materials,pays attention to their internal dynamic relationship,examines the characteristics and similarities and differences of the people’s livelihood model in this time and space.This thesis analyzes the evolution process of the livelihood model and discusses the reasons behind it,in the hope of contributing to the livelihood economy and related archaeological research in this area.The thesis is divided into five chapters: The first chapter is the introduction,mainly introduces the scope of time and space,natural environment,probability determination,research status,and research content and methods,etc;The second chapter summarizes the archaeological cultural pedigrees of the three research sub-regions,and mainly introduces the characteristics and research overview of each archaeological culture;The third chapter is the key content of this thesis,discussing the livelihood model of individual archaeological culture in the three research sub-regions,and then examines the evolution process of the livelihood model in the research subregions;The fourth chapter is the extended part of the article.Based on the analysis of the subsistence economy in the previous chapter,it investigates the resource utilization of the ancestors from the macro level,and evaluates the interactive relationship between the evolution of the production model,environmental changes and social culture;The fifth chapter is the conclusion,which summarizes the main conclusions of this study,explains the shortcomings of the study,and points out that this study is only a preliminary work.More archaeological discoveries and systematic research are needed to deeply understand the characteristics,evolution and dynamic influencing factors of the business model in Jianghuai area from the late Neolithic Age to the terminal Neolithic Age.
