| The promotion system of officials in Ming Dynasty is a system of selecting civil servants from the ranks of officials through examination.According to certain principles,standards,methods,procedures and other contents,officials were promoted from officials to officials,which provided an important supplement for the selection of officials in Ming Dynasty,especially the lower civil servants.On the basis of inheriting the previous generations and the development of the Ming Dynasty,the system formed a systematic system of promotion and transfer,with the core of three-year one examination,six-year two examinations to Beijing and nine-year three examinations.During the Hongwu Period,due to the founding of the state,the rise of the imperial examination and the lack of talents,the Ming government did not stick to one pattern in personnel selection,and the official career was relatively smooth.As one of the ways to select officials,officials played an important role in this period.Some talented people who were born as officials were put in important positions.But since Yongle,with the normalization of national governance,the government’s demand for talents has decreased.At the same time,the number of imperial examination talents and officials has been increasing,which makes the promotion of officials increasingly narrow due to various factors.There are more and more officials but less officials.The contradiction of "more and less people" is becoming increasingly prominent.Many officials are not allowed to move after the full examination,which leads to the problem of "stagnancy",and the problem becomes more and more serious in the future.Therefore,since Yongle,the Ming government began to add new content on the basis of the original system,which made the promotion system of Ming officials develop and perfect.In the Ming Dynasty,the enthusiasm of the promotion system of officials was effectively exerted,especially in the early Ming Dynasty.It ensures the quality level of officials,promotes the effective exercise of government functions,provides officials for lower level officials,and plays a positive role in enhancing social centripetal force and maintaining social stability.However,due to the complexity of the officials,there are many restrictions on their appointment,and the prevalence of donation after the middle of Ming Dynasty,the limitations of the promotion system of officials become increasingly prominent. |
