Research On The Creation Techniques Of Symphonic Chorus "The Revival"

A chorus Symphonic “The Revival” is a large-scale symphonic music work created by Peng-Peng gong,a young composer commissioned by Shanghai International Art Festival Center,China.It is also the ninth symphony（Op.54）of this talented young composer.In the creation,the author has been to all parts of the country in-depth life,collect materials,draw inspiration.“The Youth” lyrics from martyr Li Dazhao.The lyrics of“The Workers”,“Twilight” and “The Dream” were written by writer MAO Shi ’an,vice-chairman of the China Literary and Art Critics Association.At that time,the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China was held,and the world premiere of the symphony chorus “The Revival” was held at the opening ceremony of the Shanghai International Art Festival,which was a great gift for the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.The work takes “The Revival ” as the theme and consists of five movements.The first three movements describe from a historical point of view the Chinese advanced elements in the early 20 th century,unable to bear the humiliation of the motherland was divided up by foreign powers and set foot on the difficult and bumpy road to save the country.The last two movements,from the perspective of contemporary patriotic youth,honestly and passionately review the history and imagine the future.This paper is divided into the following parts:A composer,songwriter,abstract works in my life,as well as symphony chorus “The Revival” situation,the article through interviews,creative staff to understand the creation of the melody and lyrics of reason and creative journey,through the understanding of the creation background,can be more accurate,the author analyzes the reasons of the composer used techniques and purpose.As the core chapter of the paper,it is a comprehensive analysis of the characteristics of composition techniques of symphonic chorus “The Revival”.From the leading motivation and theme melody,the overall layout of the whole piece,the analysis of the musical form structure of each movement,the diversified harmonic texture,the use of overtones of chords,polyphonic techniques and the arrangement and orchestration of each movement to study the characteristics of music creation techniques with professional theoretical concepts.How to use different creative techniques to create different musical images,create different musical atmospheres,achieve different sound effects,and how the five individual movements are closely related.Chapter three mainly discusses the musical concept and practical significance of the symphony chorus “The Revival”.
