Based On The Auction Market In Non-dark Painting Art Value Analysis

Yu Feiyan（1889-1959）,a great artist in the history of modern Chinese painting,has devoted his entire life to the research of meticulous flower-and-bird painting and has then left important achievements as well as profound influence in Chinese modern meticulous flower-and-bird painting.In recent years,Yu’s painting has grown strongly in the art market due to its high artistic feelings and embodiment of historical atmosphere,but the market price of his painting is still far behind that of painters of the same period.Taking artists,artworks,market conditions and public groups as the research objects,this paper aims to analyze the price driving and value space of Yu’s painting from the perspective of the art market so as to reveal the price factors that affect Yu’s painting as well as their potential and collection value in the art market in the future.The paper is divided into four parts:（1）Firstly,Yu’s life experience and art course is sorted out to compare the highest auction price of a certain year’s works in the art market with that of painters in the same period,so that we can explore the background and reasons of their artistic achievements and the disparity in auction price in the market.（2）Secondly,the market auction records of Yu’s painting before 2021 in the four major auction houses of China Guardian,Beijing Poly,Hong Kong Sotheby’s and Hong Kong Christie’s are collated,and the reasons are further analyzed respectively considering the market transaction data and auction prices of different types of works.（3）Then,according to the acceptance of modern Chinese artistic works of the public,this paper expounds factors that influence the transaction price of Yu’s painting from the aspects of personal popularity and social activities,artistic attainments and height,auction house publicity,etc.（4）Finally,the potential and collection value of Yu’s painting in the future art market are explored based on the analysis of auction data in the art market and influencing factors.This paper will hopefully contribute to the academic understanding of Yu’s painting,and supplement the research of operational rules and theory of Chinese art market.Besides,it can also provide theoretical and practical basis for art markets and industries,government art institutions at all levels,policy-making and training of colleges.
