Research On The Activation Of Yangxin Cloth Paste Under The Perspective Of Design Ethics

Yangxin cloth paste is a folk practical art with distinctive local characteristics in Hubei,and its unique linguistic features and aesthetic interest make it unique among traditional Chinese cloth arts.However,with the accelerating modernization process,the earlier Yangxin Cloth Paste as a practical craft has lost its practical function in the modern sense.Due to the failure of positioning and inadequate design,the development route to create a cultural industry with regional characteristics has also failed to materialize.The inheritance and development of the art of Yangxin Cloth Paste urgently requires innovation.In addition,from an analysis of domestic and international literature,this thesis found that most of the studies on the art of Yangxin Cloth Paste have been conducted from a cultural and artistic point of view,with little reference to the ethical dimension.The moral and ethical values of traditional handicrafts embedded in Yangxin Cloth Paste not only coincide with contemporary notions of sustainability and social responsibility,but also help to improve and develop the ethical spirit of modern product design.Therefore,this blind spot of research urgently needs to be explored and studied by scholars in the professional field.This paper obtains first-hand information through field surveys and on-site interviews,combines documentary research,analytical and empirical research,and interdisciplinary research methods,and examines the artistic language characteristics,cultural connotations,and ethical values of Yangxin Cloth Paste from the perspective of the lack of ethical protection awareness in the inheritance activities of Yangxin Cloth Stickers.Based on the perspective of design ethics,we also investigate the revitalization design of Yangxin Cloth Paste art.The thesis is divided into the following sections The thesis can be divided into three sections,namely Background and Significance,Explanation of Yangxin Cloth Paste Art Language and Connotation,and Exploration and Practice of Revitalization Design,with six chapters in total.The first section is the first and second chapters of the thesis,in which the author analyzes the current situation and dynamics of relevant research,explains the significance of the topic,and gives a general description of the research ideas,research methods and structural framework,so as to plan and prepare for the subsequent research.The second section is the third chapter of the thesis,which explores the art of Yangxin Cloth Paste from three perspectives:the background of its formation,artistic style,esthetic value,and ethical value,and analyzes it in the light of modern values.The third section is the fourth and fifth chapters of the thesis,which explore the guiding principles,design methods and modes of carrying the revitalized design of Yangxin Cloth Paste from the perspective of design ethics,to guide the practice of clothing design accordingly.Theory and practice are combined to support each other.Finally,the thesis concludes with a summary of the research findings and future perspectives in the sixth chapter section.The aim of this research is to promote the inheritance and innovation of China’s intangible cultural heritage,to promote the discovery of ethical and moral connotations in China’s traditional culture,especially in traditional handicrafts,and to promote the soundness of the protection awareness and inheritance system in the modern construction of intangible heritage,taking the art of Yangxin Cloth Paste,an intangible heritage of Jingchu,as an example.The revitalization and development of traditional folk crafts such as Yangxin Cloth Paste needs to be organically integrated with modern production and life,closely following the trends of the times and people’s spiritual and esthetic trends,so as to give new life to them in the new era by means of "living heritage".
