Study On The Artistic Style Of Cai Yu’s Calligraphy

Cai Yu is a writer and calligrapher in the middle period of Ming Dynasty.He is good at ancient Chinese prose,fine poetry and prose,good at calligraphy,especially in small-case script and running cursive script.Cai Yu’s calligraphy is elegant and elegant,with a flat and smooth structure and ethereal movement.However,most of the world studies his literature and painting.This article mainly from divides into three chapters to carry on the research to Cai Yu’s calligraphy style: first of all,carries on the inspection,the research to Cai Yu’s life and the social intercourse situation.Secondly,the analysis of Cai Yu small-case and running works of the pen,calligraphy and composition of the characteristics of the study of Cai Yu’s style of calligraphy.At the same time,this paper probes into the cause of formation of Cai Yu’s calligraphy style from the aspects of the background of the Times,the method of calligraphy and the concept of calligraphy.Thirdly,expound the experience of learning Cai Yu’s calligraphy,and apply its characteristics to his own calligraphy creation.
