Analysis Of Qin Typography

Qin Seal is an important link between the seal of the pre-qin dynasty and the seal of the Han Dynasty,and has an important position in the history of seal study.“Xiao Zhuan ru Yin”began in the Qin Dynasty,and the later seal characters are mostly derived from the Qin seal characters.The former researches on Qin seal mostly focus on seal form,seal classification and boundary form,but less on Qin seal method.Based on the art of seal cutting and the research methods of archaeology and Philology,this paper divides into four parts to study the related problems of the Qin seal writing method:First,to analyze the historical origin of the Qin seal writing method,this paper summarizes the relationship between the evolution of Qin Characters and Qin printing method,the relationship between Qin printing form and seal,the relationship between boundary case and seal,and the influence of manufacturing technology on seal.Secondly,through a large number of examples of Qin characters,this paper analyzes and summarizes the characteristics of the Qin characters,such as official script,simplification,multiplication,component shift,etc..Thirdly,the application of Qin Seal in seal cutting in Ming and Qing dynasties and the adoption of Qin seal by later generations were discussed,and the application of Qin Seal in seal cutting was summarized.Fourth,through the analysis and research,the significance of Qin seal characters to the contemporary seal cutting creation is mainly embodied in two aspects: Qin Seal characters provide the reference for the seal cutting standard,and Qin seal characters inspire the contemporary seal cutting formal language.Through this paper,we can directly understand the history of Qin seal characters,the characteristics of Qin seal characters,the application of Qin seal characters in scholar seal cutting and the significance of Qin seal characters to contemporary seal cutting.It provides a new angle and way of thinking for the study of Qin Seal,and has certain reference significance for the creation of “Qin seal style”.
