The object of this paper is to study officials who are not greedy for money and meet the criteria of "Much-maligned honest and upright officials" in the traditional sense,but are criticized and satirized for various reasons such as lack of ability and cruelty.The image of officials who are criticized and satirized for various reasons.The emergence of the "Much-maligned honest and upright officials" in the novels of Ming and Qing Dynasties enriched the connotation and extension of the image of officials in ancient novels,reflected the public’s reflection on the group of officials and the hearts of the world,and held the author’s creative intention of educating people to do more good deeds through literature.In this paper,we focus on the following aspects of the "Much-maligned honest and upright officials".In the introductory section,we explain the object of the study,sort out the current status of the research on the "Much-maligned honest and upright officials" in the novels of Ming and Qing Dynasties,and explain the ideas and significance of this paper.The first chapter outlines the changes in the image of "Honest and upright officials" in the novels of Ming and Qing Dynasties,and analyzes the reasons for the emergence of "Much-maligned honest and upright officials" from the perspectives of politics,economy and culture.Chapter 2,based on the "two sides of the coin" characteristic that officials are both "honest and upright" and "Much-maligned",classifies "Much-maligned honest and upright officials" in terms of their family life,ability to judge cases,and interpersonal relationships.The third chapter examines the "Much-maligned honest and upright officials".The third chapter discusses the author explores the artistic techniques used to create the image of the "Much-maligned honest and upright officials" and analyzes how the author portrays the "Much-maligned honest and upright officials" through three-dimensional portrayal and supernatural descriptions,and how the author uses narrative intervention to express the author’s creative purpose in creating the image of this type of official.The fourth chapter analyzes the value of the image of the "Much-maligned honest and upright officials" and further discusses the influence of this type of image on future generations from three aspects: literature,society and ideology.Through a systematic consideration of the image of "Much-maligned honest and upright officials" in the novels of Ming and Qing Dynasties,this paper further clarifies the concept,classification,characteristics and value of the image of "Much-maligned honest and upright officials" and finds that "Much-maligned honest and upright officials",as a group of images in the novels of Ming and Qing Dynasties that cannot be ignored,have certain research value both at the literary and social levels.
