One of the goals of China’s current curriculum reform is to cultivate students’ cultural literacy.In the national common language and foreign language courses,it is proposed to cultivate students’ "cultural inheritance and understanding" and "cultural awareness".Spain has a long history.It used to be an empire across Eurasia.At the same time,Spanish also has a large population and a wide range of use.Therefore,Spanish school language curriculum can provide some reference for our country.The international status of Spanish and Spain’s international and regional forms enable the country to provide our country with experience that can be used for reference.Based on this,this study takes the language education curriculum policy of Spanish school language curriculum documents(including official common language and foreign language)as the research data,starting from the core issue of "how to cultivate students’ cultural awareness in school language curriculum in Spain",and based on combing the general situation of language education and culture in Spain.This study focuses on the objectives of Spanish in official language education,first / second foreign language and Latin language curriculum The characteristics of content,teaching and evaluation have the following findings:From the overview of Spanish language education and culture,Spain began to emphasize the protection and development of national traditions and national culture,the emphasis on language and cultural diversity,the integration of regional and national cultures,and the importance of international understanding.In the 21 st century,in order to achieve unity and equality across regions,objectives have been set up to cultivate students’ understanding and appreciation of the diversity of languages and cultures in each region,and at the same time,follow the European Union’s language education policy to develop multilingualism education.In the second decade of the 21 st century,Spain continues the spirit of deep integration into the EU system in order to adapt to the process of globalization,and at the same time establish laws to govern the language education environment in disputed areas.From the perspective of official language education courses,Spain has formulated corresponding goals,content and evaluation systems for students’ language and cultural education.In the "Spanish Language and Literature" course for local students,cultural awareness is mainly carried out through the reading of classic literary works.In the "Spanish Language and Culture" course for foreign Western students,it emphasizes that students should have a sense of identity with their own cultural identity as Spanish.From the perspective of foreign language education courses,in the "First/Second Foreign Language" subject,the curriculum standard emphasizes the understanding and respect of foreign languages and cultures,and requires students to use foreign languages as a tool to promote their local culture.In the "Latin" subject,through the tracing of the origin of "Spanish" and the history,culture and civilization process of Rome,the curriculum enhance students’ understanding of their own culture.Combining with the relevant practical problems in the implementation of cultural awareness in language education in my country,this research further proposes the enlightenment brought by the above-mentioned experience.
