This paper combines the theory of Quantitative linguistics with the research on the vocabulary development of Second language Chinese learners, introduces statistical test method, takes HSK dynamic composition corpus as the research object, and classifies the composition corpus according to the writing level, nationality and writing style of second language Chinese learners. The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics and rules of the changes of written vocabulary of second language learners in the process of their development. This article main research content including, through statistical tests in many linguistic features find effective metrics to measure Chinese second language learners’ writing level indicators,to distinguish the composition style, and according to the characters of both language vocabulary and sentence the trend of the development of the measurement index to explore the Chinese second language learners’ vocabulary development process,Finally, the applicability of Zipf’s law in Chinese Interlanguage corpus(HSK dynamic composition Corpus)is verified. The results of this study show that average word length,TTR(type-example ratio),entropy, hapax legomena, average sentence length, word count of longest sentence and number of phrases(excluding adjective modifiers)can effectively measure the writing level of Chinese second language learners. The average word length, entropy value, hapax legomena, average sentence length, the number of words in the longest sentence, the number of words in the longest sentence, and the number of verb phrases can effectively distinguish the writing style.Based on the statistical analysis of the development trend of language feature measurement indicators at lexical and sentence levels, this paper verifies the dynamic, progressive and repetitive development of interlanguage system. It is proved that Zipf’s law is applicable to Chinese interlanguage, which is a dynamic language system of selforganization and self-adaptation.The statistical test proves that the parameter A of Zipf’s law can effectively measure the vocabulary development of Chinese second language learners and effectively distinguish the writing style. The dynamic, progressive and repeatable characteristics of interlanguage system in its development process are verified again through the development trend of zipf’s law in different writing levels. To sum up,this paper, guided by the theory of Quantitative linguistics, takes "vocabulary",the basic element of language system,as the entry point and uses statistical test method to explore the development and change of the measurement indicators of language characteristics at the lexical and sentence levels of Chinese second language learners.Zipf’s law,a typical representative of the distribution law in Quantitative linguistics,is introduced into the study of the vocabulary development of Chinese l2 learners. It is expected that the research results of this paper can provide teaching suggestions and reference for the actual teaching of Chinese as a second language, provide new ideas for the vocabulary research of Teaching Chinese as a second language and Chinese interlanguage vocabulary research, and help enrich the Quantitative linguistics research related to teaching Chinese as a second language. |
