With the progress of science and technology,the development of society and the diversity of ideas,people’s demand for art has also been greatly improved.In a long historical period,the single style of sculpture has been difficult to meet the contemporary aesthetic needs.Based on this situation,it means that we need to conduct a new exploration and analysis of sculpture creation from the form,material,color and other factors,so as to seek a possibility.Most of the sculptures in ancient China were presented with a single color of the materials such as pottery,stone,wood,or bronze since the calm and simple temperament they had was close to our soul.When having a careful observation of the classic works in the history of ancient Chinese sculpture,we could find that there were also characteristic painted sculptures,such as the decorative sculptures in ancient buildings and statues of past dynasties hidden deep in grottoes.They were painted with all kinds of colors to show the delicate and vivid image with connotation;and it would deliver people with a noble and kind sentiment.Hence,the painted sculpture became a long history and inheritance of the model combined with sculpture and painting.The expression of color language is not only shown in the technique but also reflected in the concept,including such multiple possibilities as body,texture and color of sculptures and the intuitive cognitive feeling brought by color aesthetics to people’s vision.The main point of the study is to analyze the application of color language in sculpture creation.In view of the structure,it could be divided into three chapters.Chapter one is about the concept of color language,basic features and emotional expression;and there is a description of the definition and application of color from the perspective of sculpture modeling.Chapter two mainly introduces the origin and development of painted sculptures and the artistic expression of the sculptures.Through the comparison of the features of the Chinese and the Western painted sculptures,there is further explanation of the function and significance of color language in the creation of painted sculptures.Secondly,it explores the direct impact of color language on the sculpture creation,such as enhancing the visual appeal of modeling and extending the abundant modeling feeling.Chapter three explores the application and practice of color language and color aesthetics in the modern sculpture art creation with the combination of the author’s graduation creation,the painted sculpture,In Front of Tian’ anmen. |
