Study On Sparrow Theme In Flower And Bird Painting In The Ming Dynasty

The style of flower and bird painting in the Ming Dynasty,earlier than that in the Tang and Song Dynasties,is inherited from the Yuan Dynasty,with famous artists coming forth in large numbers and the paintings being left abundantly,where the number of works with sparrow theme is considerable and representative.According to the records of painting history,sparrow paintings have appeared since the southern and Northern Dynasties.After the development of previous dynasties,sparrow paintings in the Ming Dynasty have developed in conception,form and techniques.Taking the sparrow theme in the flower and bird painting as the research object and the sparrow image in the flower and bird painting of the Ming Dynasty as the sample,this paper analyzes the internal and external factors of the development of the sparrow theme in the Ming Dynasty,and discusses the aesthetic value of the sparrow theme in the flower and bird painting of the Ming Dynasty in combination with the background of a certain era as well as the author’s exploration of sparrow theme in artistic practice through the cultural tracing and case analysis on the sparrow theme in the painting works.
