Research On The Repair Process And Application Of Traditional Damaged Ceramic Lacquer

The traditional repair process of damaged ceramics focuses on how to restore the perfect state of the objects in the best way.Lacquer repair is to bond and repair broken objects based on the characteristics of lacquer’s strong adhesion.Its most prominent feature is that it will not cover the broken parts of the objects,but will highlight the repaired parts and regard them as the new aesthetic focus of the objects.Lacquer repair absorbs and expands the traditional lacquer process,emphasizes the comprehensive application of a variety of materials,and can create various decorative effects.There are three innovations in this paper: firstly,it sorts out the development process of lacquer repair process,and defines the concept of the repair process of damaged ceramic lacquer;secondly,it explores the aesthetic value of the repair process of damaged ceramic lacquer from four aspects: shape,decoration,texture and color;thirdly,it expands the application fields of the lacquer repair process.This paper is divided into five parts.The first chapter is the introduction,which illustrates the research background,as well as purpose and significance of the lacquer repair process and explores the current situation of the lacquer repair process at home and abroad in details;the second chapter defines the concept of the lacquer repair process,and summarizes the traditional formation and modern evolution of the lacquer repair process in a thorough manner;the third chapter gives a comprehensive introduction to the materials and processes of the lacquer repair process;the fourth chapter mainly expounds the aesthetic value of the repair process of damaged ceramic lacquer from four aspects: shape,decoration,texture and color;the fifth chapter discusses the practical application of the lacquer repair process,and applies various techniques in the traditional lacquer repair process such as mother-of-pearl and eggshell inlay,Zhangxiu（spotted lacquer）,maki painting and gold repair to the lacquer repair process of damaged ceramics.This paper systematically summarizes how to innovatively apply various techniques in the traditional lacquer process to the repair of damaged ceramics,sorts out the aesthetic value of the process,and makes prospects to the development of the process.
