Imagination can combine or separate anything,or formed any image in mind.Artists create art through their rich imagination,forming artistic imagination,so artistic imagination possess creative.Artistic imagination is the premise of artistic creation.Artistic imagination comes from the infinite imagination deep in the heart and will not be constrained by life.The artist’s ever-changing imagination is driven by passion and recombines the deepest memories of life feelings.This internal emotional memory continues to accumulate and become the source of inspiration for artistic creation.It establishes a close relationship with artists and resonates with viewers.In different works of art,we can see artists’ different spatial imagination.French painter Gustave Dore,Spanish painter Salvador Dali,Polish painter Jacek Yerka and director James Cameron all expressed the importance of artistic imagination in artistic creation in their works,which played a great role in the author’s subsequent creation.Influence and stimulate author’s inspiration.Through the discussion of the series of work "Landscape on the Clouds," this paper explores how to use the things in reality to express the imaginary space of unnatural laws in the picture.In the process of conception,the tranquility and beauty above the clouds are more suitable for a virtual space that reflects peace and quiet.In the author’s works,elements such as horses and flocks are chosen to express the author’s emotion for the hometown and make the pictures have novel visual effects.The thesis discusses the works’ artistic effect and emotional expression,and make an analysis of the rich layers,delicate,and profound artistic features of the copperplate etching.
