Ode to Chu is a erhu work created by composer Li Bochan for the opening ceremony of the second Beijing huqin Art Festival in 2014.Based on the famous Chinese historical allusion "Farewell My Concubine",this work tells a sad and beautiful love story spread through the ages around the two theme characters of Xiang Yu and Yu Ji.The music is also interspersed with the fierce scenes of the fierce battle of the Chu army and the heroic killing of the enemy,and praises the determination of the soldiers to be fearless of death and their faith in returning to death.This paper focuses on the exploration of the performance art and the interpretation of music emotion of the work.Combined with the author’s own performance practice,the static notes are transformed into dynamic melody sound,in order to excavate the deeper connotation and mystery in the music language,so as to improve the individual performance level,better grasp the integrity of the work,and provide reliable reference value for the follow-up research to a certain extent.
