| The painting of birds and flowers is an important part of traditional painting in China,and color is one of the most important elements in the expression of visual elements in paintings.In this new era of rapid economic development,cultural diversification and great spiritual liberation,artists have been deepening their thinking,not only absorbing the excellent color concept of traditional painting,but also borrowing from the past to open up the present,fully studying the modern Western color composition doctrine in depth,blending the East and the West,and constantly developing and innovating,which has prompted the contemporary painting world to show a new style and vitality,creating A large number of excellent works of art have been created to meet the requirements of the times and people’s aesthetic interests.This thesis discusses the basic theories of color composition by elaborating on the interplay of color contrast and color harmony,and analyzes the importance of color composition in contemporary brushwork works of birds and flowers and the current state of research.This paper does not stop at listing the nomenclature and concepts of color composition,but explores it in depth with the author’s rich experience in sketching and creation,applying the theory to his own creation,combining it with real-life sketching to fully express the theme of the picture by means of contrast and harmony in color composition,highlighting the yearning for a beautiful environment and the admiration and shock for the tenacity of nature.A study of the use of color composition in brush painting,drawing on modern Western colour concepts,can greatly enrich the sense of composition in contemporary neo-brush painting,setting the mood and expressing emotion.The inherent mode of traditional brush painting can no longer meet all the aesthetic needs of contemporary people,so Chinese painting needs to adapt to the constant changes and developments of the times,borrow from the past to open up the present,boldly draw on the advantages of modern Western color composition theory,and treat our unique painting art with a critical eye for development.It is only through continuous sharpening that the painting of birds and flowers,which is still standing at the tip of history,can retain its artistic charm and immortal vitality.The first chapter discusses the basic concept of color,the evolution of the understanding and use of color in Chinese brush painting from ancient times to the present,and the significance of color composition to paintings in practical use.The second chapter analyzes the representative works of famous artists and discusses the influence on the author’s creation from some of the exercises;the third chapter takes the graduation creation "Seeing Cotton Blossom Again" as an example and analyzes this work in detail from the inspiration and creation process,and summarizes the means and ways of using color composition in practice.The current conceptual understanding of creation methods and means in painting is multiform,and the aesthetic ideas and values behind these creative works are also diversified,and the practice of color composition theory is also attempted in multiple directions and with a wide range of goals,so we should not use a fixed and rigid model framework to rigidly apply.The thesis is a study of the application of color composition in the author’s brush painting from the perspective of summarizing,pointing out and inspiring.The painter’s creative consciousness should be reflected in his actions and works.By correctly understanding the problems that arise during the creation of brushwork flower and bird paintings and exploring the true meaning of color beauty,the artist can find an artistic language suitable for his own painting creation. |
