This paper takes the bronze wei of the Shang and Zhou dynasties as the research object. After systematically collecting the materials of wei unearthed in China during the Shang and Zhou dynasties, this paper first classifies and sorts them through typological research.According to the basic shape characteristics of the carriage,it is divided into two categories: Class A with folding edge and class B without folding edge, and then it is classified and sorted. After that, according to the type and combination of Che Yun and the age of its tomb, combined with the division of Archaeology and history,Che Yun is divided into two periods in the morning and evening, with a total of 10 sections. The early period is from the late Shang Dynasty to the late Western Zhou Dynasty, and the late period is from the early spring and Autumn period to the late Warring States period. The distribution scope and regional characteristics of each phase and section are explained.Next,we will further analyze the origin, development and evolution of various types of chariots, and explore the context of the development of chariots in the Shang and Zhou dynasties.Based on the above research, this paper discusses the level, gender and combination of utensils reflected by Che Yun’s burial in the tomb, and finally combs some other problems of Che Yun itself.
