In a rapidly developing society,it is very important for Chinese people to master English skills.In the process of English learning,autonomous learning ability,as a comprehensive and basic skill,is one of the important and basic methods to test learners’ mastery of English learning.At present,the language habits of senior high school students are cultivated in the mother tongue environment,so independent English learning is the difficulty in their English learning.Because there are many traditional teaching methods of English,that can confine students to listening to lectures and doing exercises,and they are not good at innovating their English learning skills.It is very important for teachers to lead students to immerse themselves into the ocean of English,and as professors,they should enhance their workpiece ratio to achieve the purpose of our English education,we need to seriously study this problem.Modern society has put forward various requirements for human development,but in terms of teaching,English classroom also needs to make changes to enrich students’ perspective of English learning.As an English teacher,we should not only focus on the learning of students’ basic knowledge in class,but also cultivate students’ ability to read English articles from all angles.In recent years,more and more scholars have applied multi-modal teaching to high school English teaching,especially after the release of the new curriculum standard,in order to inject new blood into the single high school English teaching model.Now it is a common phenomenon that there are many students in the class,and each of them has their own ability of cognizance,the use of multi-modal teaching method can effectively improve students’ Independent English learning.Compared with the traditional teaching mode of one-way teaching between teachers and students that once appeared in most English classes,multi-modal teaching method is more vivid and can lead students to truly appreciate the charm of English learning,and correct the disadvantages of traditional teaching.In allusion to this teaching hot spot,and researching on the understanding of English teaching,the author applies multi-modal teaching method to high school English classroom,in order to explore the rationality,importance and value of this teaching mode in classroom application.The experimental environment was selected in a key high school in Harbin,Heilongjiang Province,where the author had the honor to follow excellent English teachers for a three-month educational practice.A total of 122 students in two classes of senior one were taken as the objects of this educational research.They will be divided into experimental class and control class.Professional research and investigation methods will be used to carry out rigorous teaching experiments on students for three months,and the experimental results will be analyzed to draw teaching conclusions.In the teaching process,the another class is applied to the a multi-modal teaching mode by the teacher,and at the same time applies the traditional teaching mode to the control class students,and makes a comparison between them.In this essay,we want to work out these following two questions: 1.How does MSM improve the autonomous learning habit of English? 2.Facing the current situation of students’ English,how can teachers improve their self-learning ability by using multi-modal teaching method? At present,according to the research,the application of multi-modal teaching method in high school English teaching can change the students’ attitude towards English learning,the classroom becomes lively and interesting,and the students take the initiative to learn English;Secondly,students master effective learning methods in reading,so that the overall English learning ability has been significantly improved.Based on the teaching results,it is concluded that the multi-modal teaching method has a positive influence on the cultivation of high school students’ autonomous learning ability,which can promote students to love English learning to a certain extent.The innovation of this paper is that most of the previous studies on the autonomous learning ability of senior high school students focus on the communicative approach,and few on the multi-modal teaching method.Due to the lack of research in this area,this study attempts to explore autonomous learning from multi-modal teaching,providing a new research perspective.During the period of reading this paper,I wish that can afford some serviceable ideas for high school English classroom teaching in China and some effective suggestions for high school English multi-modal teaching. |
