| A strong teacher is the guarantee of a strong country,and a strong country must have a strong teacher.The development of teachers ensures the cultivation of talents,and the quality of talents is the foundation of national development.In order to better fulfill the responsibilities of teachers,the development of teachers’ professional knowledge is an issue that we must continue to pay attention to.From the perspective of teachers,teachers’ professional development and teachers’ professional knowledge development,this paper expounds the research status and significance of teachers’ professional knowledge development.Taking the theory of lifelong education and Maslow’s hierarchy of needs as the theoretical basis,the development status of professional knowledge,conditional knowledge,practical knowledge,general cultural knowledge and other professional knowledge of high school English teachers at different levels such as novice type,skilled hand type and expert type is studied in multiple dimensions.This paper is a survey study,using three methods such as questionnaire survey method,interview method and case method to investigate it,the conclusions reached by each method corroborate and complement each other,and the common use of multiple methods makes the conclusions of the article more authoritative.According to the data consulted,most of the methods of teachers’ professional knowledge development research are questionnaire survey method and interview method,and there are few case analysis methods.The author found that selecting representative teaching cases and analyzing them can also solve the problems raised in this article,so in addition to the common two methods,a case analysis method has also been added,which is also the characteristic of this article.There were 105 teachers in the questionnaire,including 35 novice teachers,35 skilled teachers and 35 expert teachers respectively;there were 9teachers in the interview,including 3 novice teachers,3 skilled teachers,and 3 expert teachers respectively;and the cases were 3 teaching cases,including a novice teacher’s case,a skilled teacher’s case,and an expert teacher’s case,and the three studies took three months to complete.This thesis starts from the professional knowledge development of high school English teachers,and strives to find out the problems,find out the causes of the problems and give reasonable suggestions,which strives to make a modest contribution to the development of education and teachers.Through the survey,it was found that there are problems such as uneven professional knowledge development,slow update of professional knowledge,and lagging behind awareness in the professional knowledge development of high school English teachers at this stage.After analysis,it can be found that these problems are caused by the serious "utilitarian" tendency of test-oriented education,the lack of reflective ability of teachers,and the unsatisfactory effectiveness of teacher education.The author gives suggestions from the perspective of individual teachers and the perspective of the outside world of education,and suggests that students-oriented education,reflective education,professional teacher education,and cooperative education between the state,society and schools should be carried out. |
