Research On The Evolution And Cognition Of The Food Crop Nouns In Shuo Wen

Among the various elements of language,the change of vocabulary is the fastest,and the core of vocabulary change is the change of meaning.Exploring the evolution of word meaning is the only way to explain the phenomenon of word meaning and reveal the characteristics of word meaning system.The evolution of word meaning is complex,and the reason for the complexity is that the evolution of word meaning has both commonality and individuality.Through the clustering inspection of similar words,it is helpful to observe the similarities and differences of word meaning changes and the strength of extension,and it is also helpful to discuss the changes of word meanings.General trends and internal laws.We focus on the nouns of food crops in Shuowen,and use the related theories of Chinese semantics and cognitive linguistics to systematically study the meaning of words,in order to provide help for the research on the evolution of word meanings.This article is divided into five parts:The first part,the introduction.This paper mainly introduces the value and significance of this study,the research object and research method,and summarizes the previous research on the evolution of word meanings and food crop nouns.In the second part,the extension and context of the noun meaning of food crops in Shuowen is sorted out.Select the semantic positions involved in the evolution of word meanings,analyze the semantic features and semantic categories of words,and sort out the extended context of word meanings.Select the groups of meanings that participate in the evolution of word meanings,analyze the word meaning features and semantic categories,and sort out the context of word meaning evolution.The third part analyzes the polysemy structure formed by the evolution of word meaning.Firstly,the relationship between the original meaning and the extended meaning is analyzed,the rationale and mechanism of the extended meaning of food crops nouns are explored,and the evolution mode of the word meaning is summarized.We found that food crop nouns tend to choose the metonymic mode for extension in the mode of word meaning extension.Secondly,the research on word meaning structure is mainly divided into word meaning structure relationship analysis and word meaning structure level analysis.There is a parallel relationship and a progressive relationship between the nouns’ meanings of food crops,and the word senses construct the hierarchical structure of word meanings through these two relationships.The fourth part summarizes the evolution trend of word meanings of food crop nouns,and summarizes the cognitive factors that affect the evolution of word meanings.Through the research on the extension of words and the attribution of word meanings,the evolution trend of word meanings of food crops is summarized.Through analysis,we found that there are two cognitive factors affecting the development and evolution of food crop nouns,one is the semantic characteristics of the word itself,and the other is people’s metaphor and metonymy cognitive mechanism.The fifth part,the conclusion.It mainly summarizes the paper briefly and points out the shortcomings of the paper.
