A Uyghur Translation Study Of Plant Metaphors In "Water Margin"

As a thing closely related to human life,plants will not only appear in life,but also in literary works.People are good at using metaphors,which is of great significance to people’s daily use and literary creation.This paper takes the plant metaphors in "Water Margin" as the research object.On the basis of the existing research results,according to the laws and characteristics analyzed by the corpus,the plant metaphors in "Water Margin" are mainly divided into: flowers,grass,trees and plants.Three types of metaphors.Through literature study method,sorting and induction method,quantitative statistics and qualitative analysis method and other research methods,this paper studies the Uyghur translation of plant metaphors.This paper is divided into six parts.The introduction is a summary of metaphor,plant metaphor and metaphor translation.The first chapter is the metaphorical cognition of Chinese plant words,and makes a classification of plant metaphor types.Chapter two,chapter three and Chapter four respectively analyze the translation of metaphors related to "flower","grass" and "tree" in Water Margin.Chapter five discusses the translation strategies of plant metaphors in Outlaws of the Marsh,mainly from three methods: equivalence mapping,non-equivalence mapping and explanatory translation.Chapter six is the conclusion,which summarizes the translation of plant metaphor in Outlaws of the Marsh and explains the innovation.This article collects and analyzes the corpus in "Water Margin".When translating plant metaphors,the target domain is mapped through a similarity in the plant source domain,and an appropriate translation method is sought in consideration of the original background,culture and context.The translation of equivalent mapping reflects more cultural There are some commonalities in the two nations,and the two peoples have the same cognition of plant metaphors;the non-equivalent mapping and interpretive translation laws reflect the slight differences in cognition.Through the research on Uyghur translation of plant metaphors in "Water Margin",it can be a supplement to metaphor translation,and also provide some references for future Uyghur translation research,hoping to provide help to Uyghur language learners.
