| Discourse marker is a unique pragmatic mechanism in oral communication.Understanding this pragmatic mechanism will help the listener accurately understand the speaker’s pragmatic meaning and communicative intention,so as to convey the communicative content more accurately and carry out the communicative behavior more effectively.This paper selects "boldi",which is frequently used in Uyghur spoken language,as the research object,discriminates and judges the discourse marker "boldi" based on Uyghur corpus,and then investigates its application mode and distribution;Thirdly,it summarizes and classifies the prescriptive meaning of "boldi" solidified by the influence of context;Finally,it makes a detailed description of the discourse function of "boldi" from the two aspects of discourse function and interpersonal function.The main conclusions of this study are as follows: boldi in Uyghur spoken language has the characteristics of discourse markers and can act as discourse markers.Through the investigation of the application mode and distribution of discourse marker "boldi",it is found that the frequency of application in turn from high to low is: single use > overlapping use > adhesion > independent use.The position of "boldi" in a turn is very flexible,and its functions are different;Through the investigation of the semantics of the discourse marker "boldi",it is found that it often expresses the conventionalized meanings produced by solidification.The frequency of these meanings used in the collected corpus from high to low is: dissuasion > abandonment >concession > rejection > no definition > completion > voting definition > limit meaning;Through the investigation of the textual and interpersonal functions of the discourse marker "boldi",it is found that the discourse marker roles of "boldi" in Uyghur spoken language are: setting up topic,switching topic,continuing topic,ending topic and so on.Interpersonal function is mainly reflected in three aspects:marking emotional attitude and reducing cognitive reasoning;Shift the focus of attention;Follow the principle of politeness and adjust interpersonal relationships.Based on the results of previous studies,this paper attempts to use the perspective of discourse markers to study "boldi" from the perspective of semantics and function,strive to supplement and improve the research of discourse markers,and broaden the research scope of "boldi". |
