An Aesthetic Interpretation Of The Vulgar Culture

In recent years,as a hot phenomenon in the field of popular culture,"Vulgar culture" has not only become popular in the online audiovisual space,especially on short video platforms,but has also attracted extensive attention from mainstream academia.At present,most of the studies on vulgar culture are focused on the field of communication science,while those initiated from the perspective of contemporary aesthetics are still weak.This paper takes vulgar culture as the research object,draws on the theoretical framework and research methods of Marxist cultural studies and aesthetic anthropology,and focuses on the connotation and extension of vulgar culture,the aesthetic psychology and aesthetic value implied by this cultural phenomenon,and the interaction between cultural practice and aesthetic theory highlighted by it.The first is to define and sort out the content,form and theoretical concept of the "vulgar culture",and make a specific cultural definition from the connotation and extension of it.Secondly,from the domains of aesthetic issues,as "local aesthetic experience","aesthetic identity" and "aesthetic transformation",the typical cases in vulgar culture are analyzed.Finally,based on the reality,we discuss the trend of the local culture and aesthetic theory in the new media context.This paper argues that local culture can be seen as a convergence and fusion of popular culture and mass culture,and it also has the characteristics of "youth subculture" and "network subculture",which should be the cause of its rich and diverse cultural appearance.It activates the traditional local aesthetic experience,shapes the aesthetic identity in cyberspace through the extensive use of new media,and gives rise to many transformations in the complex social formations-the resistance to and absorption of different earthy transformations is a reflection of the public’s.The new cultural phenomenon brings new thinking to the development of theory.On the basis of the research,the paper adheres to the aesthetic position of humanism,emphasizes eliminating the rough and getting the best,advocates aesthetic education and reconstructs the country aesthetic illusion.
