An Analysis Of The "Taoyuan Dream" Of The Literati In The Wei Jin Southern And Northern Dynasties

From the primordial-paradise world of the age of myth and legend,through the "happy land" in the book of songs,the " Taohuayuan" pursued by Confucianism,and the "Peach Blossom Land" in Tao Yuanming’s works,in order to construct their ideal society,ancient Chinese scholars laid down their unyielding hearts and created dreamland after dreamland." Taohuayuan" is one of the most representative scenes."Taoyuan dream" appeared in the Wei Jin Southern and Northern Dynasties,a special era of political turmoil,social chaos and the collapse of human nature.On the one hand,it inherits the past cultural accumulation,on the other hand,it deeply influences the later generations of literati,"Taohuayuan" has become the common "peaceful dream" of many scholars in later generations."Taoyuan dream" is the aesthetic presentation of nature and humanity after the spiritual introspection of literati.This spiritual dream is expressed in literary works and gradually forms the "narrative mode of Taoyuan dream".First of all,it is the thinking and exploring mode of the self-consciousness of the literati,and then it becomes a literary narrative mode used by the literati.Tao Yuanming expressed his feelings as a hermit in the space of "Taoyuan dream",and later generations also sighed that his personal consciousness deviated from the spirit of the times in this space.Tao Yuanming’s writing about leisure and leisure in seclusion is the self realization of psychology from the perspective of literati’s spirit.Later generations of literati created "Hetao poetry","Taoyuan poetry" and many works written with "Taoyuan" as their own soul projection."Taoyuan dream" has become a cultural symbol.People not only chant and experience the ideal state in Tao Yuanming’s Taohuayuan scene,but also because they have had a close relationship for thousands of years,constantly integrating into their own "Taoyuan dream",following the Taoyuan ideal thousands of years ago with their own soul fit,and opening up a residence between dream and reality to accommodate their complex psychology.Focusing on the node of the Wei Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties,through tracing the cultural origin of the "Taoyuan dream",we can see that there were scattered fairy dreams,human dreams and social dreams before the Wei Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties.In the Wei Jin Southern and Northern Dynasties and later,"the dream of Taoyuan" became a "narrative mode".This paper divides this "narrative mode" into "pre Taoyuan narrative" and "Taoyuan dream narrative",and this paper analyzes the formation motivation,presentation state and far-reaching influence of this narrative mode.This is helpful to further explore the cultural connotation of "Taoyuan dream" and to explore the throbbing track of the spiritual pulse of the literati who are coerced by the factors of the times,analyzes the feelings and responsibilities of some scholars with conscience,such as Confucians,Taoists,Buddhists and so on,in the world,especially in the changeable and turbulent times.And these are the excellent cultural traditions we should inherit."Taoyuan dream" is not only a kind of spiritual space-time in literary expression,but also a kind of graphic representation of life and society.This kind of literary expression mode,which has been repeatedly used by countless literati in the past dynasties,has its immortal value in today’s society after continuous infiltration of Chinese culture.
