A Study On The Internet Slang Of Weibo Chaohua Community From The Perspective Of Language Socialization

With the development of the Internet,the Cyberworld has been divided into many communities oriented by interests and other factors,and these communities have gradually formed some special vocabulary in their own communities.In order to avoid snooping by groups outside the community,the exclusive vocabulary which is only used in this community is "Internet Slang".There are many researches on the cyber language,in the same time,there are relatively few researches on internet slang.On the basis of corpus collection and literature reading,this paper describes and analyzes the internet slang in Weibo Chaohua community by using the theory of language socialization put forward by Schieffelin and Ochs.By means of participating observation,corpus analysis and text analysis,this paper studies the internet slang of Weibo Haoyan Chaohua,the Glory of Kings Chaohua and Li Jiaqi Chaohua.The study finds that the internet slang of Weibo Chaohua Community are simple,colloquial,semantic opaque,semi-closed and dependent.The process of language socialization of the internet slang in Weibo can be divided into three stages:newborn stage,formative stage and mature stage,and each stage has its own characteristics.According to Ochs’ indexicality principle,the internet slang can index affective stance and social identity.Members of the Community can understand the affective stances implied by the internet slang with their acquired community knowledge,and can correctly use these the internet slang to express their affective stances.When people consider themselves as members of a certain community,they will actively use the relevant internet slang to build their own social identity,and after completing the social identity confirmation,they will actively use the relevant internet slang according to the community’s expectation of roles.The innovation of this paper is mainly reflected in the research perspective and the research object.By analyzing the internet slang in Weibo Chaohua community,we can deepen our understanding of the internet slang,provide reference for delving the formation and usage of the Cyber Language,and theoretically make a contribution to expanding the application area of language socialization.
