| After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the political, economic, and cultural aspects of Tibetan areas centered on Tibet have adequately improved.Especially in terms of culture, the Tibetan culture has been fully developed, and writers and poets are constantly emerging. When writing in Tibet, two creative tendencies to write Tibet in mother tongue and Chinese have emerged.Since the new era,Tibetan writers’ conditions for writing Chinese have become more mature. At the same time,a abundant number of Han Chinese have entered Tibetan areas, and they have also used Chinese to describe Tibetan areas.During this time, the Tibetan literary world showed that two group of creative teams which were Han writers and Tibetan writers both wrote their content about Tibet in Chinese.Based on the complex and diverse cultural background since the new era, this thesis mainly makes a comparative study and analysis of the Chinese writing of Han and Tibetan writers in the new era from the aspects of culture and narratology. The thesis is mainly divided into five parts: introduction, three chapters in the body, and conclusion. The introduction is mainly to briefly analyze the concepts of Tibetans and Tibetan areas, and to introduce the geographical distribution of Tibetan areas and the cultural origin of Tibetans,as well as to discuss the origin of topic selection. In addition, there are some classifications and combings of academic research on Chinese writing by Tibetan and Han writers since the new era.It also introduces the complex and diverse cultural background of Tibetan writing since the new era. From the perspective of culture, the first chapter divides Tibetan and Han writers’ Tibetan Chinese writing into two different creative paths.First,as for Tibetan writers, they are purely cultural experiencers from the inside out.The infiltration of Tibetan culture gives Tibetan writers a unique advantage in writing Tibet, but the diverse and multi-perspective creation of internal Tibetan culture and external Han culture also makes Tibetan writers face some new challenges in writing. The cultural awareness of writers has effectively adapted to the challenges of pluralistic creation.Second,as for Han writers, they have to carry out cultural imagination and creation from the outside to the inside. The cultural identity of "other perspectives" destined that their Tibetan writing posture can only be cultural observation and imagination. In the multicultural context, they wrote Tibet mainly for the purification of the soul and the search for a spiritual home to inhabit. At the same time, they also carried out cultural reflection in the process of writing the Tibetan area. The second chapter starts from the perspective of narratology, and mainly discusses the differences of narrative strategies used by Han and Tibetan writers in the process of Tibetan writing. This chapter is divided into two parts. The first part is narrative skills of Tibetan writers. In terms of language, they have "Tibetan Chinese" which means that Chinese and Tibetan are mixed. In terms of narrative, there are mainly two narrative methods: epic historical narrative and folk narrative on the spot. And the second part is the narrative strategy of Han writers.Their characteristics are mainly romantic narrative language, mysterious narrative, and "personal witness" narration of subjective emotional penetration. The third chapter mainly discusses the dilemma and development of Han and Tibetan writers in the process of writing Tibetan in Chinese. In a multicultural context, whether they are Tibetan writers or Han writers, there are various difficulties and misunderstandings in their own Tibetan writing or Chinese writing. This chapter is mainly divided into three parts. The first part is about Chinese Writing by Tibetan Writers: Bottlenecks and Breakthroughs; The second part mainly focuses on Tibetan writing by Han writers: Distortion and Innovation; And the third part is an analysis of Tibetan Chinese Writing and literary creation of Chinese Ethnic Minorities.Although there are various problems in the process of Tibetan Chinese Writing,it is these problems that are always alert to Tibetan Chinese writers, urging them to continue their efforts to open branches and leaves for Tibetan literature and inject fresh blood into the modern and contemporary Chinese literary world. At the same time, their continuous exploration has effectively protected and carried forward the Tibetan cultural tradition and pushed Tibetan literature to the world stage. |
