| Inhibition function refers to the ability of individuals to control the interference caused by their own dominant response and irrelevant external stimuli in the process of completing a specific goal, with the purpose of avoiding inappropriate behavioral responses. It is an important condition for individuals to learn and adapt to the environment.Under the influence of multiple environments, college students are prone to a variety of bad behaviors, such as over-dependence on mobile phones and Internet. The existing research points out that the bad behavior of college students is closely related to the level of inhibition function. In order to avoid or correct such bad behavior, the training methods of inhibition function should be studied.Physical exercise as an economic and easy to promote exercise can effectively improve individual inhibition and control ability. However, few studies have focused on the immediate and delayed changes of inhibitory function after physical exercise. Therefore, there is no experimental evidence to help educational decision-makers develop effective and scientific inhibitory function intervention programs for college students with bad behaviors.Jazz dance as a in aerobic dance, and in the USES of public physical education in college students had relatively feasible, therefore, this study selected non-professional sports female college students as subjects,4 weeks of fixed frequency jazz dance exercise as the independent variable, individual inhibitory function as a dependent variable, jazz dance exercise 4 weeks to explore effects on the individual inhibitory function,Inhibit function test was carried out four weeks after the cessation of exercise to explore the subsequent effect of jazz exercise on the inhibition function,so as to make up for the lack of domestic research in this field. This paper provides experimental basis for the practice of prevention and correction of college students’ bad behavior from the perspective of cognitive psychology. It also provides theoretical basis for the psychological effect of jazz exercise and its popularization among college students.Research Methods: In this study, experimental method was adopted and time series design was adopted, and Go/no-go paradigm was used as the measurement procedure of inhibitory function to explore the level of inhibitory function of individuals under the influence of physical exercise. The experimental indexes were the response time of the subjects to Go stimulus button and the correct rate of no-go stimulus inhibition in Go /no-go test.A total of 41 female college students from Xi ’an University of Physical Education, including 22 in the experimental group and19 in the control group, were recruited. The total duration of the experiment was 8 weeks, divided into the first and second stages. The first stage(weeks 1-4): the experimental group received 30 minutes of moderate intensity jazz dance training three times a week, while the control group did not participate in the training.Inhibition function test was performed immediately after exercise in the experimental group.Stage 2(Weeks 5-8): The experimental group stopped jazz training and both groups underwent inhibition tests at a frequency of 3 times per week.Results:(1)Before the experiment, there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in the response time to Go stimulation button and the correct rate of no-go stimulation inhibition(P > 0.05).After 4 weeks of jazz training, the response time of the experimental group to the GO stimulated button was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was significant(P < 0.01),there was no significant difference in the accuracy of NO-GO stimulus inhibition between the two groups(P > 0.05);At the follow-up test 4 weeks after the cessation of exercise, the response times were still significantly lower in the experimental group than in the control group(P<0.01),there was no difference in the accuracy between the two groups(P BBB 0 0.05).(2)After 4 weeks of jazz exercise, the response time of female college students in the experimental group was significantly shortened compared with that before exercise, and the difference was very significant(P<0.01);There was no significant difference in the correct rate of no-go stimulation inhibition(P BBB 0 0.05),which indicated that the 4-week jazz exercise could significantly improve the inhibition function of female college students.(3)After 4 weeks of jazz exercise, the response time of female college students in the experimental group to GO was still smaller than that before the experiment, and the difference was very significant(P < 0.01);There was no significant difference in the correct rate of no-go stimulation inhibition(P > 0.05),indicating that the improvement effect of 4-week exercise on inhibition function still existed in the 4 weeks after the end of the exercise.(4)In the whole 8-week experiment, the variation trend of female college students’ response time to GO stimulation button was as follows: in the 4-week exercise stage, the response time was significantly shortened;in the 4 weeks after the exercise, the response time increased somewhat, but it was still significantly smaller than before the exercise.(5)experimental female college students of no-go to stimulate the inhibition of accuracy in the whole change trend of 8 weeks experiment is: 4 weeks in exercise stages, accuracy have improved, but compared with the experiment before there was no significant difference(P > 0.05),within 4 weeks after the end of the exercise, reduce accuracy to a certain extent, compared with the experiment before there was no significant difference(P > 0.05).The results indicated that the effect of jazz training on the inhibition function was mainly reflected in the response time to GO stimulation button, but had little effect on the correct rate of no-GO stimulation inhibition.(6)During the whole 8 weeks of the experiment, there was no significant change in the response time of the GO button and the correct rate of no-GO inhibition(P > 0.05),indicating that the practice effect produced by repeated inhibition function tests was not statistically significant. Conclusion: Four-week jazz exercise can significantly improve the inhibition and control ability of female college students, and the improvement effect has a certain continuity in time. |
