| Due to dual influences of commercialization and globalization,the concept of“present” and the emotions and experiences of “present” are increasingly emphasized,and the historical consciousnesst is obviously diminished.Fan Wen,as one of the important writers in contemporary literary field,still insists on exploring resources in the rich literary treasures of “history”.He traces the conflicts between Tibetan Buddhism and foreign religions through the tomb of a missionary.He probes into hidden and obscured details in the history of Anti-Japanese War,and discovers the significance of history in the details and margins.His novels present rich historical space for readers.The contents in Fan Wens’ historical novels are multi-dimensional,including reflecting the history of Tibet from dimension of religious belief,retrospecting the cultural war and reviewing history from perspective of human nature and humanism,emboding the construction of the “Emotional” history,so as to express his humanistic care and awe of history.The Deepen discussions of the historical narrative and its characteristics of Fan Wen’s novels,can deepen our understanding of Fan Wen’s work and make us understand the unique value of his novels,can also deepen the cognition of other writers and works by comparing the history of literature,and observates the achievements and shortcomings of contemporary literary history writing.This article will discuss on the following four parts:The introduction part briefly introduces Fan Wen’s creative situation and carefully carding the research status on Fan Wen’s novels and historical narratives,which determines the research viewpoint of this paper.Chapter I focus discusses the historical narrative view of Fan Wen’s novels.Based on Fan Wen’s historical concept of “Combination of Modern Reason and Modernism”and related works and information,it compounds the humanism and national standpoint reflected in his historical writing.It explores the specific way that the historical narratives in Fan Wen’s works presents history,and illustrates the main meaning of the poetic historical truth of his historical novels.Chapter II main discusses the historical picture and connotation of Fan Wen’s historical novels.In the “Tibetan Trilogy”,Fan Wen reflects the evolution of Tibetan history via changes of religious beliefs.Historical writings on the subject of AntiJapanese War are based on culturally fighting against the Japanese imperialists.It discovers the glory of the Anti-Japanese war in the cultural world hidden in the depths of times via the life sufferings of the intellectuals in wartime,and ponders the spiritual power of the traditional personality and culture.With his unique narrative perspectives,text structures and language styles,Fan Wen has completed the construction of history narration and art.Chapter III discusses the value orientation of historical narration in Fan Wen’s novels.Faced with the trend of consuming and teasing history in the 1990 s,the historical narrative of Fan Wen’s novels reaffirm his belief in history in the context of downplaying history.Fan Wen’s novels focus on individual destinies and make the hidden individuals “speak” in the texts,wherein he not only emphasizes the integrity of history but also explores the essence of history.More importantly,Fan Wen constructs an “Emotional” history from the perspective of humanity and human feelings,to restore the existence of human feelings.In the light of grand historical narrative and popular historical narrative in the new century,Fan Wen’s historical novels is provided with own significance in contemporary historical writing.This paper takes historical narration as the starting point to study the creation of Fan Wen’s novel,examines the narrative concept,the historical picture and narrative strategy of Fab Wen’s historical novels,and interprets the writer’s construction by means of “Emotional” history,so as to restore the literary and realistic meaning of historical “living memories”.At the same time,based on Fan Wen’s creation and the context of the development of contemporary literature,this papers perspectives the value orientation of historical narrative,and then exploring the complex connotations of the word of Fan Wen’s novels. |
