Study On Buddhist Music Culture In Ganzhou Shouliang Temple

Shouliang temple was built in the late Liang Dynasty of the Five Dynasties.It is a temple with a long history and well maintained original state in Ganzhou City.The temple has experienced many periods of development of Buddhism in Jiangxi Province,its rituals are almost perfect,and its rituals music is strictly adhered to the Buddhist tradition.This paper is based on detailed field investigation data,mainly from the perspective of ethnomusicology,sociology,anthropology and other disciplines to analyze the Buddhist music of Shouliang temple in Ganzhou.The main part of the paper consists of five chapters.The introduction starts from "the development of Chinese Buddhist music",based on various literature and related previous studies,systematically combs the development of Chinese Buddhism and its music culture,and introduces the three major categories of Buddhist music;the first chapter "overview of the Buddhist field of Shouliang Temple" systematically combs and summarizes the Ganzhou Buddhist field,and describes its development in different periods,At the same time,the development of the Buddhist field of Shouliang temple is elaborated;the second chapter "daily management and ritual content of Shouliang Temple" records the whole process of the Buddhist ritual of Shouliang temple in detail,which is divided into three categories: monks’ daily life,acting according to the law and Bodhisattva’s Christmas,and describes the ritual situation of temples in Ganzhou County;the third chapter "analysis of Buddhist ritual music of Shouliang Temple" records the music according to the field investigation,This paper makes a comprehensive analysis with the method of music morphology;the fourth chapter "comparative study of Buddhist music between Shouliang temple and other temples in Ganzhou" makes a comparative study between Shouliang temple and other Buddhist fields;the fifth chapter "connection of Buddhist music culture of Shouliang Temple" explains the Buddhist music culture of Shouliang Temple,and explores the thinking of its music culture power.Through the above analysis and research,it is concluded that Shouliang Temple Buddhist music not only inherits an important part of Chinese Buddhist music culture,but also integrates the Buddhist fields in the surrounding areas together to become the media connecting the center and the edge.At the same time,it plays an important role in the local people’s life by playing its own special cultural attributes.
