Research On The Family Ethics Of Modern Chinese Buddhism

The social changes and ideological movements in modern China have changed the Chinese family life style and brought about the innovation of family concept.When new and old ideas collide,Chinese Buddhism,as an influential religion,participates in the discus sion of family ethics.The different positions held in Buddhism can be divided into the conservatives who hold the thought of blending Confucianism and Buddhism and the human Buddhism who hold an open attitude.The differences of their ideas are analyzed by selecting the representatives of Yin Guang,Tai Xu and Xing Yun.This paper focuses on the core modules of family ethics,such as gender equality,the relationship between husband and wife,the relationship of filial piety and the raising of children,to explore the theoretical foundation of modern Buddhist family ethics.It holds that the theory of origin is the fundamental epistemology of Buddhism,compassion and equality as ethical principles,and keeping precepts as ethical practice are the invariable factors in Buddhist family ethics,and the terms of family ethics change with different times.In addition,this paper discusses the inheritance of the family ethics of modern and modern Chinese Buddhism to the primitive Buddhism spirit and Chinese Buddhism thought and culture,and seeks for the changes and invariability in the family ethics of modern and modern Chinese Buddhism.By understanding the ideological purport and cultural connotation of Buddhist ethics,this paper analyzes the changing ways of the Buddhist family ethics contract,in order to explore the ideological basis and cultural dependence of its future development.
