The construction of ideal personality is the core of life problem.Wei Jin’s thinking on the ideal personality problem has always been unable to get rid of two tendencies: one is to the Taoist thought crazy backtrack, but failed;on the one hand,in the process of struggle, the people yearn for a form of life of selftranscendence, which is what Kant said is "noble" meaning,on the other hand,in his seemingly passive and decadent life, deeply in the desire for life and life and nostalgia, and thus bring about a sense of absurdity from but beyond the sense of death of "sadness." This is the inner tension that Wei Jinming has in constructing the ideal personality in the face of the yearning and the real existence. The reason why this paper chooses to start from the two dimensions of sublime and sad is that the ideal personality problem has special development in Wei Jin period.First of all,"famous people"(名士)as the main body in the WeiJin period gradually formed, they have the special interest of character evaluation, which promotes the innovation of methods. The famous people abandoned the simple method of character understanding human talent in"The People’s Book"(《人物志》)and instead understood the ideal personality of man in an intellectual way, which led to the difference between the purpose of the subject and the previous one. They are no longer content with physicality, that is,grasping individual traits, but emphasize that into virtue is the exploration of universal basis.Uniquely,German classical philosophy and existential philosophy have responded to similar problems,so the article chooses the two related concepts of sublicenses and sorrow to grasp this similarity. On the one hand, the article analyzes the efforts of metaphysicists to trace back to Taoist thought. The metaphysical works, represented by Wang Bi’s Laozi Note,(王弼《老子注》)show the dominance, permanent and pre-existing nature of Taoism, and the discovery of these properties cannot be separated from the physical evidence of the subject’s form and upper mind. This process of physical evidence makes the subject’s intuitive ability, imagination and reason, coordinate.Metaphysicists see everything as nothing more than a one-way appearance, their intuitive understanding of things is not to understand the specific way of the evolution of the million logistics line, but to the reality of things as a rational coordination of the intention of things. This tendency of famous men has a profound influence in the process of judging the ideal personality. The metaphysicists praised those who compete with the natural appearance of"no form"and then transcend the life form of the self, affirming the vision of"God"and"saint"in the pursuit of infinite life. This coordination of imagination and reason is in line with Kant’s expression of the concept of"sublime",and Kant’s aesthetic analysis of the lofty is also of great enlightenment to the general communication of the common sense of metaphysics. Thus this paper will be lofty as the first dimension of analysis,to show Wei Jin famous people in the process of shaping the ideal personality of the pursuit of infinite, upward, positive tendencies. On the other hand, metaphysicians’pursuit of the new ideal personality influenced by retrospective Taoist thought is not exactly what they want.On the contrary, influenced by reality, celebrities are more in aspirations than they can reach. This has to involve the second dimension of this article-"pathos".Pathos represents the tendency of Weijin celebrities to be confined to reality, selfcontained, and negative in the process of shaping their ideal personality.Mou Zongsan(牟宗三)believes that Xiang Xiu(向秀)and Guo Xiang’s(郭象)interpretation of the meanings of"health preservation"(养生)and"heaven punishment"(天刑)when annotating"Zhuangzi"(庄子)shows a state of desolation and sadness, and judges them to be the helplessness of a philosopherlike old village.Whether it was the beginning of the period or the period of the two Jins, the scholars only expressed a common sense of sadness in different forms, and this sadness was a reflection of their desire and nostalgia for life.Their emotion stems from the fear of death, but in the end it forms a kind of"sorrow"that transcends death consciousness.Albert Camus(加缪)also saw such a problem. He pointed out that it is a kind of absurdity. It is caused by the opposition between people’s reasonable expectations of the world and the world itself not being in this way.At the time of the change of the Wei and Jin Dynasties, the celebrity’s situation should be the words of Camus. The sublime and sadness constitute the inner tension of the ideal personality of the Wei and Jin celebrities. The establishment of the two dimensions of sublime and pathos plays an important role in acting and knowing ideal personality. On the one hand, this helps to correct the non-parallelism of the traditional cognitive paradigm of "Ming Jiao-Nature",and is helpful to understand the lack of practical tension of the scholar group at that time.On the other hand, these two dimensions are not contradictory. They can provide a reference for later generations, and then try to explore a universal and comprehensive standard for judging ideal personality, which together constitute a closed loop of ideal personality.
