In recent years,with the deepening of economic and cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and Russia,the number of Russian Chinese learners has increased year by year.From 2007 to 2017,the number has more than tripled,and the Russian Ministry of education has included Chinese education in its national basic education system.In 2019,Alexei Maslov,Dean of the school of Oriental Studies at the higher school of economics of the Russian National Research University,said that Russia has become the country with the largest number of Chinese learners in the world.Taking the students and teachers of the Confucius Institute of the Far East Federal University of Russia as the research object,combined with the author’s teaching experience in the Confucius Institute,this paper makes a relevant research on the current situation of Chinese teaching in the Confucius Institute by using the research methods of questionnaire,interview and classroom observation,and puts forward corresponding teaching suggestions in view of many problems existing in its Chinese teaching,in order to improve the current situation of Chinese teaching in the Confucius Institute,I hope this case study will be beneficial to the development of Chinese teaching in Russia.Taking the Confucius Institute of Far East Federal University of Russia as an example,this paper investigates the current situation of its Chinese teaching,expounds the problems existing in the Chinese teaching of the Confucius Institute of Far East Federal University from five aspects: Chinese learners,Chinese teachers,curriculum and teaching,teaching resources and teaching methods,and analyzes the reasons.Chinese learners have the problems of insufficient learning motivation and improper learning strategies.In terms of Chinese teachers,there are some problems that teachers’ teaching experience is relatively insufficient and teachers’ teaching level needs to be improved.In terms of curriculum and teaching,there are problems of too long course interval and insufficient classroom interest.In terms of teaching resources,there are some problems,such as imperfect textbook system,insufficient network learning resources and poor classroom vision of students.In terms of teaching methods,there are some problems that the teaching methods are single and the training methods of speech skills need to be improved.On this basis,this paper puts forward corresponding suggestions for the problems existing in the Confucius Institute,that is,students should enhance Chinese learning motivation and formulate Chinese learning strategies;The Confucius Institute should regularly organize unified Chinese teacher training and recruit more experienced Chinese teachers,reasonably plan the course time and urge teachers to improve the interest of the classroom,establish a more perfect teaching material system,promote the application of e-learning resources and reasonably arrange a comfortable teaching environment;Teachers should regularly exchange and discuss teaching methods and enrich their own speech skills training methods.In addition,for the future Chinese teaching in Russia,this paper puts forward some prospects from three aspects: Confucius Institute,teachers and teaching materials.This study initiated the research on the current situation of Chinese teaching in the Confucius Institute of the Russian Far East Federal University in recent years,so as to provide some reference for Russian Chinese teaching in the post epidemic era. |
