Authentic Record And Subjective Intervention:Two Trends Of Ethnographic Documentary Shooting ——A Case Study Of Deep In Clouds

"Authentic record" and "subjective intervention" are crucial methods to ethnographic documentary.Traditional methods were limited in theories,equipments and technologies.In the new century,however,as they are advancing rapidly,the key issue for creators lies in how these two methods are applied to create ethnographic documentary and to achieve a deep description of culture as the core.This thesis can be separated into four parts.The introduction includes research background and demonstrates the feasibility of the thesis based on literature review.The first chapter offers the definition of ethnographic documentary,factual record and subjective intervention,and sorts out inner connections among them in their development history.The second chapter conducts a research on the practice of factual record and subjective intervention in ethnographic documentary.The third chapter explores and analyzes the approach to realize cultural deep description presented by the film with two filming methods.
