| "The Hsi-yu pu " is a sequel to "Journey to the West".The author Dong Shuo has rich imagination and excellent writing style.On the basis of Journey to the West,Dong created an eerie and dreamy world.In the dream world of "The Hsi-yu pu ",there is the horizontal and horizontal spread of lust,which contains the profound philosophy of Zen,unique aesthetic characteristics and aesthetic spirit.This paper aims to explore the aesthetic thoughts contained in the novel from the perspective of aesthetics,in order to have a more comprehensive and profound understanding of the work.This thesis is divided into four parts.The first chapter examines the author Dong Shuo’s life and the dream-loving atmosphere of the literati in the late Ming Dynasty.Dong shuo’s love of dreams is closely related to the changes of social environment and ideological trend at that time.Through the discussion of Dong Shuo’s life experience and dreamy atmosphere,it lays a solid foundation for understanding the projection of the real world in this work.The second chapter combines the knowledge of narratology and aesthetics to discuss the dreamlike narrative aesthetics of Xiyoubu.Starting from three dimensions of narrative structure,narrative language and narrative image,this paper summarizes the aesthetic concept contained in the narrative structure of "The Hsi-yu pu ",probes into the emotion and philosophy of narrative image,and analyzes the aesthetic feeling of narrative language in "The Hsi-yu pu " by using Jin Shengtan’s aesthetic theory.The third chapter mainly discusses the aesthetic characteristics of "The Hsi-yu pu ",extracts and sums up the words and phrases scattered in the text about the characteristics of fragmented,chaotic and distorted dreams,and on this basis summarizes the beauty of fantastic grotesque in the aesthetic world of "The Hsi-yu pu ".This paper discusses the "love" world constructed by "dream thinking" and "love dream",and expounds the aftertaste and lingering charm of "love" in "The Hsi-yu pu ".Finally,using aesthetic theory to analyze and summarize the tragic beauty of "Westward Journey Supplement".The fourth chapter discusses the critical spirit of "The Hsi-yu pu ",starting with Dong Shuo’s life experience and the political ecology of the late Ming Dynasty,analyzes and explains the criticism of the decadent society in "The Hsi-yu pu " from the perspective of ethical aesthetics.Secondly,it makes a theoretical summary of the irony of imperial authority in the text and the reflection of imperial examination system and context.Finally,this paper discusses the Zen aesthetic spirit of "heart is the world" and "transcendence dimension" in "The Hsi-yu pu ". |
