The Study Of Classification Of Naming Patterns Of Traditional Chinese Colors

This article takes the name of traditional Chinese colors as the research object.Systematically organize the sources and uses of Chinese traditional colors and also the name of traditional Chinese colors.On the basis of previous people’s classification according to hue,brightness,etc,attempts to make an inductive sorting and classification of traditional Chinese colors from the nature and naming of color nouns.I found that the naming method of Chinese traditional colors has a certain relationship with the source and use of colors.First of all based on the color of different substances,the naming method is different.For example,the mineral color is often named after the ore,and the plant color is more likely to be named after the color of the image produced by the plant.The second is that according to different fields of color application,the ancients also used different naming methods.For example,practical colors are often named with an emphasis on the origin of the color or the naming of the raw materials.Aesthetic colors are more inclined to use physical images or some proper nouns to name colors.Therefore,the author summarizes seven different naming methods according to different Chinese traditional color nouns.Combined with the text expression of each specific Chinese traditional color and the reference object image,and fixed each color based on relatively fixed color values of vermiculite,cyanine,rouge,under the premise of combing a lot of traditional Chinese colors.
