Research On Wu Changshuo’s Official Script

Since the Qing Dynasty,due to the rise of textual research and Jinshi studies,coupled with the Qing people’s emphasis on the combination of theory and practice,there has been an upsurge of visits to steles,which has revived the ancient script of the official script so that can create another peak after the Han official script.The development of official script in the Qing Dynasty falls out of innovation and continues to break through.Although the people of Qing Dynasty has studied the script of Han Li,and it doesn’t mean that they blindly imitate Han Li,they make full use of their own advantages,based on the basis of Han Li,to change the script of Han Li according to their own strengths,so that can enhance the dynamics of the picture,which can reflect the quality of the ancient and the present.All of this can show the strong flavor of the times.This article takes Wu Changshuo’s official script as the research object,divided into seven chapters.The first chapter briefly introduces the background of the topic selection,research status and research methods;the second chapter briefly describes the development and evolution of the official script in the Qing Dynasty,combing with the style and features of the calligraphers in different periods of the Qing Dynasty;the third chapter explores the origin and style characteristics of Wu Changshuo’s official script;Chapter 4 analyzes the characteristics of Wu Changshuo’s writing in official scripts that survived;Chapter 5 uses "Xiling Yinshe’s Newly Built Guanlelou Stele" as an example to summarize the characteristics of Wu Changshuo’s official scripts;Chapter 6 summarizes the characteristics of the official script by analyzing Wu Changshuo’s specific works;Chapter Seven is based on the research of Wu Changshuo’s official script and reflects on contemporary official script creation.As a master of art in the late Qing Dynasty,Wu Changshuo is based on Han Li but he is not constrained by it.He learned from the past,and he was flexible,so that he is able to create new things through the past,and finally forms his own style.His official script breaks through the boundaries of the script and integrates the steles,whose posture of the script is upright,broad and powerful.The brush strokes of his scripts are round and round,thick and simple,and the writing is smooth and harmonious.It is very harmonious with the atmosphere and sentiment of the seal script,which is representative of the present.
