The 21^stCentury saw the Chinese urbanization enter a new period.Li Peifu and Shi Yifeng are two writers who train their eyes on this period,successfully representing the images of the youth who leave the country where they grew up and enter the city.In their books they analysis their destinies,explore their minds,and hold up a mirror for us to check the reality of this period.Their writing sheds a new light on the entering city problem.This thesis takes the youth image of"entering the city"in Li Peifu’s and Shi Yifeng’s novels as the center of investigation,trying to present the images and the significance of times in this specific group.The first chapter,mainly from the historical environment and the identity of writers,this paper probes into the reasons for the formation of the youth image of"entering the city"in the works of Li Peifu and Shi Yifeng.The second chapter analyzes and interprets the youth group image of"entering the city"in Li Peifu’s and Shi Yifeng’s works,and shows the real living state and complex spiritual pedigree of the young people entering the city at present.The third chapter explains the construction of these images from spatial criticism,the grassroot perspective,the generation gaps theory and the bureaucratic hierarchy theory.so as to show the difficulty of the young people in the city to reshape themselves.The fourth chapter reflects on the realistic significance and spiritual loss of the youth image of the"entering the city".The innovation of this thesis lies in the marriage of sociology and literature study:the close reading of these images opens a window for us to observe the living condition of this group and rethink about Chinese modernization.This will usher in new possibilities for the coming China narrative.
