Research On The Application Of Animal Pattern In Portrait Brick In Bashu Area Of Han Dynasty To Synthetic Materials

As a rich cultural carrier,Han portrait brick deeply reflects the time and social characteristics of Han dynasty,which is based on the Qin brick,and is colorful and vivid,reflecting the folk artists’ ingenuity,is a milestone in the development of Chinese art history.The development of portrait brick in the Han Dynasty is no longer a simple reproduction of animal image,its artful line application and rich cultural connotations are fused with the world view,aesthetic view and values of the Han Dynasty people.As a typical representative,the portrait brick in the Bashu area distinguishes from the portrait brick art of other regions in the same period because of its distinctive regional and folk characteristics,which has creative freedom and diverse themes,takes over the dominant position in the realism,and is of profound significance worth exploring and analyzing.This paper starts with the overview of portrait brick research,points out the importance of animal pattern case studies and the innovation of this paper,with the help of literature research,comparative analysis and field investigation to achieve research purposes.First of all,from the perspective of historical development,this paper gives an overview of the development of portrait bricks in the Han Dynasty,and how the animal-printed portrait bricks were formed under the background of the economy,society and culture of the Han Dynasty.Analysis and conclusion of animal-printed portrait bricks in the Han Dynasty are completed from three main aspects: image features,ornamental composition,and linear arrangement.Different neither from Shandong animal-printed bricks which were dignified and elegant,nor from Henan animal-printed bricks which were vivid and simple,Bashu animal-printed bricks were more like describing rural and poetic life.On the basis of this,the experimental application of the material itself and the diverse characteristics of the synthetic materials are analyzed and explored in details,from which to summarize the inspiration for personal creation,so as to facilitate the practical work.Combined with the image characteristics of animal-printed portrait bricks,this paper analyzes and summarizes the value and influence of the modeling language,composition law and art techniques of association,thus to explore the application effects.At last,in collaboration with individual graduation project,the final part elaborates the application of animal patterns in the synthetic materials from themes,modelling,materials and styles.The own creation is accomplished based on the previous steps,and tries to conclude systematic and practical ways in hope of providing references for the research of the application of animal patterns in the synthetic materials to some extent.
