| The "eye" image is widely used as a carrier in artistic creation, and it has continued from ancient times to the present, especially in contemporary painting art, many works of art use the "eye" image to create the art of "seeing".This article starts from the historical culture of the "eye" image to study the connotation of the "seeing" of the eye,and continues the functional performance of the "sight and vision" of the eye to derive various meanings such as "observation","peeping","overlooking" and so on.There are meanings such as watching, paying attention, paying attention, suggesting, supervising, insight, ability, opinion, hope, hole, quantifier, etc. From the connotation of the “seeing” of the eyes and the examples of the use of eyes in art history, two formal methods and paths for studying the use of eyes in painting are summarized: “look outside” and “look inside”."External look" starts from the visual function of the eyes, expresses the viewpoints and opinions on external experience, focuses on the social environment outside the artist himself, insight into the social phenomenon, and reveals the cultural connotation behind it.The "inner look" is to focus on the artist’s own experience, express the artist’s inner world, inner emotions, inner thoughts and communicate outward. It focuses on the analysis of the works of two representative artists,Takashi Murakami and Yayoi Kusama, which correspond to the“look outside” and “look inside” above. This article is divided into five parts. The first part introduces the content of "eyes",starting from the definition of eyes and tracing its historical culture and characteristics to the connotation of eyes "seeing".In the second part, from the connotation of the "seeing" of the eye in the previous chapter, two forms of analysis are drawn: looking outside and looking inside. The third part discusses the use of eyes in the works of Takashi Murakami and Yayoi Kusama, and interprets Takashi Murakami’s artistic works in the frame of "look outside".His works integrate Japanese cartoon culture and Western pop art,and cartoon flat eyes.Under the lovely and gorgeous appearance, the image is anxious about the lack of connotation and spiritual impoverishment of Japanese culture in the current ultra-flat society in Japan;and the “inside view” frame corresponds to the art of healing himself that Kusama has been pursuing all his life. The fear in my heart is presented in the form of works, and I use the eyes in the painting to calm my inner anxiety. These two different ways of expression also convey the artist’s concern for society and the individual, and the different ways of expression show the diverse connotations and objects of concern embodied in the painting by the eyes. The fourth part combines the analysis of personal creative experience and analyzes the meaning of the expression of the "eye" symbol in personal creation, and the concern and thinking of society and oneself in various stages of artistic exploration. The fifth part is the conclusion part. |
