When going through the art history,it can be found that artistic trend often connects the ecology of the district they dwelled.As a public creation area,derived from the gathering of artists and their studios,artistic distinct breeds fascinate art phenomenon.Art distinct born arts.The form of an art distinct is as influential as social vicissitude to the art creation.Consequently,studying the ecology of an art distinct would conclude the initials of a artwork,and furthermore,explore the art development tendency.In China,art distinct developed over 30 years,started with Yuanmingyuan of 1990,with later 798 Distinct,Song Zhuang Distinct,Cao changdi Distinct,and the Landing Distinct,which is what the thesis would discuss.The Yuanmingyuan Distinct has witnessed 90 s pioneer growing and Distinct has experienced three development stage,Shaziya,Paleo-landing,neo-landing.It covers from the core zone,to the general area like zhizi street and youth art village.The artists are mainly based on contemporary easel painting,and the total number of artist groups is around 300Thriving settlement formed comprehensive create style.Chengdus multiculturalism and loose lifestyle made a comfortable creating atmosphere.In a stable studio,artists enjoy a create-live life,build a comprehensive social relationship.Due to the leisurely regional culture of Chengdu and the poetic dwelling in the pastoral style of Landing,as well as the changes in the urban structure,the creation of the art district has promoted a natural microcosm and individualized,secular tendency.And along with the trend of market interest trend influence,it has also promoted the aestheticization of art creation and the increasing number of decorative paintings with a small fresh air.Compared with the Avant-garde art of Yuanmingyuan Painter’s Village and the vigorous power of Huangjueping Art District,the overall creation of Landing Art District tends to be detached from reality,with a petty mood of isolation,especially lacking deep-seated enlightenment and critique of social culture.On some level,it is a kind of lack of Avant-garde spirit.Dadaisms’ s emergence,after Duchamp brought the "fountain" into the museum,subert the art system thoroughly,brought Avant-garde art into a historical perspective,and the modernist self-disciplined art promoted by Greenberg was thus dismantled.Though broke away from the traditional ideological instrumentalization and moved towards the elite,modern self-disciplined art developed only from the language of art itself,was alienated from reality and the public.Thus the internal self-regulatory system of self-renewal was thoroughly criticized by Dadaism’s anti-establishment,anti-self-regulation and anti-self.The Avant-garde conceptual art that emerged in the1960 s in the West in the 20 th century,on the other hand,brought art back to reality,dissolved the boundaries between art and life,and sought to counter-collect,de-commercialize,de-materialize art.Inevitably,the narrative logic of the Western Avant-garde differs from that of China,either chronologically or spatially,i.e.,in historical and social-cultural contexts.The Chinese Avant-garde of the 1980 s became one of the most crucial aspects of Chinese art history,distinct from,but deeply influenced by,the Western concept of the Avant-garde.It was a deconstruction of the institution of realistic authority and the instrumentalization of art,presenting a powerful cultural critique that changed the trend of Chinese contemporary art.In the 1990 s,Avant-garde artists broke free from the constraints of institutional identity and entered the market,initiating the connection between Chinese art and commerce.Consequently,Avant-garde art is a thoroughly negative and critical existence of the existing art value system.Beyond a spirit and phenomenon,Avant-garde is also a cultural position.Led by the "New Figurative" of the 85 New Wave Art Period and pioneering art groups such as the "Southwest Art Research Group",influenced by the conceptual art in Chengdu in the 1990 s,today’s art ethos of Landing is worth reflection and in-depth research.As its artistic creation tends to stay in the development of ontological language rather than the implantation of Avant-garde consciousness,it tends to detach itself from reality rather than maintaining a negative and critical pioneering position.In the context of contemporary art,how to present the relevance of the current society the pain points people are facing,how to make changes to the existing art system and value system,are the outlets that every artist and art-related person in Landing tries to find.
