During the "May 4th" New Culture Movement,"human discovery" was accompanied by "children’s discovery." At this time,the new culture camp was committed to seeking a way to "establish children".Lu Xun saw the possibility of fairy tales in "establishing children" with a keen eye.He actively translated fairy tales and integrated his views on children into the translation of fairy tales.And children’s literature.This article takes Lu Xun’s translation of fairy tales as a clue,focusing on the relationship between his fairy tale translation and views on children.By examining his translations,essays,diaries and other materials,this article sorts out Lu Xun’s views on children from the perspective of fairy tale translation,and explores the specific influence of his views on children.On the one hand,Lu Xun’s views on children influenced his choice of fairy tales translated;on the other hand,the translation of fairy tales in turn deepened Lu Xun’s thinking on children’s issues,thus enriching and perfecting his views on children,and influencing him His literary creation has particularly affected the shaping of children’s images in his literary works.The main body of the thesis is divided into four chapters.Chapter One discusses Lu Xun’s identity as a translator.Lu Xun has translated many works in his lifetime,which can be roughly divided into three categories:literary theory,literary works,and children’s literature.As the focus of translation,fairy tale translation embodies Lu Xun’s unique value orientation.Chapter Two discusses the three types of Lu Xun’s translation of fairy tales.Although these fairy tales were translated in different periods,they have commonalities in their value orientation.Chapter Three specifically elaborates Lu Xun’s view of children embodied in the translation of fairy tales.This view of children is "child-oriented",emphasizes children’s education,and the final point is to conform to children’s nature.Chapter Four explores the relationship between Lu Xun’s views on children and his creation,focusing on the image of children in his creation.These images reflect the changes in Lu Xun’s attitude towards children,behind which are the changes in his views on children.The conclusion part summarizes the inner connection between Lu Xun’s translation of fairy tales and views on children,and also explores the reasons for his continuous attention to children.
