Chinese fashion industry is in the critical window of high-quality development,and fashion industry has become an important force to enhance urban influence and cultural soft power.Looking back to the development of western fashion,the unique regional fashion culture and the fashion system matched with it have been formed in various periods,which jointly promote the development of regional fashion industry and brand,and contribute to the political and economic development of the country.Following the development process of western fashion,this paper condenses the distinctive fashion cultures of France,America,Italy and Britain,including French fashion culture characterized by "palace culture and advanced customization",American fashion culture characterized by "popular culture and mass market",Italian fashion culture characterized by "Renaissance of literature and art and high-grade ready-to-wear clothes",French fashion culture characterized by "palace culture and advanced customization",American fashion culture characterized by "popular culture and mass market",and Italian fashion culture characterized by "Renaissance of literature and art and high-grade ready-to-wear clothes" British fashion culture characterized by "noble culture and creative industry".And its corresponding fashion system and industry characteristics are analyzed.The relevant scholars at home and abroad generally agree that fashion is a social phenomenon,and under the support of relevant design policies in various periods,it is a political,economic and cultural phenomenon related to fashion culture and fashion system.France has been contributing to the political,economic and cultural development of France since the emergence of the court fashion in the 17 th century,and it is one of the supporting forces of its national economic development.Since the beginning of the eastern coastal layout of textile education project in the 19 th century,the United States has gradually constructed a fashion system characterized by “popular culture and mass market”,and has experienced the development from imitation to independent innovation.By combing the characteristics of fashion culture and corresponding fashion system of four major fashion centers in France,the United States,Italy and the United Kingdom,this paper discusses how the western fashion industry and brands adapt to the development of fashion culture and system.Combined with the case analysis and practice of Chinese fashion brands,this paper summarizes the practical path of regional characteristic fashion culture to boost the high-quality development of fashion industry.By combing the logical relationship among Western fashion culture,system,industry and brand,it is found that the regional fashion industry is supported by different regional fashion culture,and gradually forms a differentiated fashion system through the spatial composition and cross operation between the internal subsystems,and then forms the characteristic fashion industry and brand.This paper studies the western fashion history samples,compares the local silk fashion industry and brand,and combines the design practice analysis to study how to take root in the regional fashion culture characteristics.It further highlights the relationship between brand design operation and fashion culture,realizes the goal of increasing brand value and contributes to the development and prosperity of regional fashion industry,which has certain theoretical research and practical application value.
