Research On The Letter Writing Of Scholars In The Republic Of China

Letter writing has a long history in our country.Yao Nai said that "the book began with Zhou Gongzhi’s report to the king",which shows the long history of the letter.From the perspective of the history of the development of letters,it has experienced a process from simple to complex to simple,from single to plural,from official to private,and from aristocracy to civilianization.In every transformation,there is a critical period of node type.The Republic of China is a node of the transformation of all aspects of letter writing from ancient to modern.However,due to historical and political reasons,there are few and less researches on letter writing in this period.Single,there is more room to fill.This article is based on the letters of literati in this special period,and on the basis of previous studies,through comparison,analysis and induction,and from the perspectives of writing,history,and sociology,the writing of letters in this period is carried out from the outside to the inside.Longitudinal and horizontal research,with a view to supplement the letter research at this stage.This article is divided into six chapters: The introduction part briefly analyzes the source of this article’s topic selection and research status.Including the significance and methods of the subject research,the current situation at home and abroad,etc.Chapter One defines the related concepts of "Republic of China Letters" and "Republic of China Literati".The second chapter grasps the changes in the form and content of the letters of the literati in the Republic of China as a whole,and briefly analyzes the reasons according to the characteristics of the historical background,era and social development at that time.The third chapter analyzes the writing content of different types of letters by literati in this period from a horizontal perspective,and selects the letters with friends,family letters and love letters in the letters of literati as the analysis objects,and roughly classifies the contents of the letters and analyzes them in light of the background of the times.To get a glimpse of the difference between the content of the letters of the literati at that time and the previous ones.The fourth chapter is the analysis of the characteristics of the letter writing of the literati in the Republic of China.As a special period of the transformation from ancient to modern,under the influence of the "New Culture Movement",the letter writing of this period is completely different from the previous ones in terms of language,vocabulary,and structure.Through a brief analysis of this feature,we can roughly clarify some of the changes that have occurred in letter writing during the modern transition.Chapter5 is a summary chapter.Through the overall analysis of Chapter 2,the content analysis of Chapter 3 and the study of the writing characteristics of Chapter 4,it is concluded that the characteristics of letter writing in the nodal period have an impact on modern letter writing,including content,language,The format and other aspects also include the influence of traditional letter writing in the modern Internet writing era.
