"Preposition+noun+Directional word" is one of the typical forms of expressing spatial relationship in Chinese.In Indonesian,there is also a similar structure of "Preposition+(Directional word)+noun",and both have similarities and differences.For Indonesian students who learn Chinese as a second language,this grammar is in the third level of the model of difficulty degree,which is more difficult to acquire.This paper takes the preposition structure as a starting point,and selects the most typical "在 N 上/里/中" in this structure as the research object,based on the Chinese Written Language Corpus of International Students of the JNU University,this paper examines the syntactic function,semantic feature,and errors of Indonesian students’ prepositional structure "在 N 上/里/中".After research,we draw the following conclusions: 1.Compared with the native Chinese speakers,the syntactic functions of the prepositional structure "在 N 上/里/中" of Indonesian students are unbalanced.The phenomenon of imbalance is prominently manifested in the excessive use of adverbial function and insufficient use of complementaryfunction;2.The semantic types of the prepositional structure "在 N上/里/中" of Indonesian students are biased towards different formal types;3.There are many types of errors in the prepositional structure "在 N 上/里/中" in Indonesian students,the mistaken addition of the preposition "在" and missing directional words affected by the negative transfer of the mother language have a high proportion,a wide distribution,and a longer duration.
